Absolutely brilliant! & to think that Peter bristow is still fishing & chartering today! Incredible & inspirational!

Wish Fin-nor had never stopped making those reels esp the Tri-gear. So good to watch and 100% enjoyable.

Yeah if it’s not about race or politics or men being women and vice versa then it’s not important to them 🤷♂️I’m only 44 years old and the older stuff like this is just gold

I had the pleasure of fishing on a couple of those boats, including aboard on Sea Strike skippered by Dennis "Brazzaka" Wallace. Great days those early Cairns ones.

Cant believe this popped up in my feed. Just by chance a few friends and I shared a drink and meal with Don in the late 1990's when he was in Bermagui, NSW. He was chartering on 'The Ultimate' for 2 days with his long term fishing mate (I cant recall his name) and his partner at the time (pretty sure it wasn't Gloria). They managed to tag 1 Striped marlin. He was waiting for his own boat (Tysons Pride) to arrive at some fishing destination in the US, so he had a few days free and decided to head to Bermagui as he was aware of its historical significance when it comes to game fishing. He said that between him and his buddy, they had tagged and released over 10,000 marlin fishing together! I remember Don saying he was also keen to catch a Barramundi, as he had heard about their fighting ability. After a few (too many) beers we did our very best to convinvce him to instead go fishing for the little known (he had never heard of them), elusive, hardest fighting, and top eating fish - the Port Phillip Bay Flathead! 😂 I had no clue who Don was at the time, and just decided to approach him after picking up on his US accent. It was only years later when recalling the story that I was told it was Don from Tysons food, and one of the richeest people in the world and major backer of G Bush Snr presidential campaign. Who knew. 🤷🏼♂️ It was great to see in this video his very first trip fishing the GBR. 👍

I was recently up that way (not fishing 😢) was and was told $6 - $7k for the boat, and around another $15k if you want a mother ship to yourself as well.
