SPECTACULAR !!! HUGE 1:5 SCALE RADIO CONTROLLED (RC) F-16 COMBAT JET | POPHAM MODEL SHOW 2021
Our good friend Dave displays this quite large and utterly amazing F-16 Fighter Jet. With it's 6 litres of JET A1 fuel it can flying for 7-8 minutes executing scale manoeuvres exactly the same as the full size F-16. Due to the constraints of the flying site Dave had to execute a downwind landing and slightly over flared the approach...but no harm done. The rest of the flight was spectacular and a pleasure to capture on video.

He had it right up until about 12 50 and just got a bit anxious and held the flare out a bit much. Good carrier landing though. Nice one Dave. Thanks for sharing Dom.

First off the F-16 is my favourite jet of all time and this model is such a beauty to behold. Awesome job of flying it as well, it was a pleasure to watch in the sky. Finally I have to give two thumbs up to the camera operator, the person behind the lens was able to track the jet extremely well and the use of the zoom was spot on, this made viewing the video both enjoyable as well as entertaining. So many pilots fly and film themselves using a GoPro type camera with no ability to zoom in on the action making for a hard video to watch. No matter how good the pilots skills are or how fantastic the model flies if you only see a little dot on the screen because the aircraft is to far away then it becomes hard to view. This video had a fantastic model, a great pilot and proper top notch camera work and that makes for great entertainment. Thanks……Regards Mike

Do love the F16. Undercarriage is a work of art and the have such a presence in the air. Fly lovely. But I've always been put off owning one. Definitely very challenging models to land. That gear as beautiful as it is. It is super narrow so very small margin for error. And the fact that there are no flaps either. Just a nightmare for landing.

I can't wait for the day when EDFs big enough to power something like this are commonly available. I know the older generation still likes the loudness and high energy density of kerosene burners like this, and maybe they even like that terrible smell they make, but the possibility of something like this with a EDF putting out like 15Kw of power from its 150mm fan...mmm, that will be glorious.

It could be done today but its just silly expensive. Would still get half the flight time of a turbine and land at same weight. Not worth it really.

Yes. Had to do that because not possible to do the landing approach he wanted from the right which had a relatively narrow flying area because of a gas station on that side we were not allowed to fly over.

Mr Dom its real life now to get a ticket and take a Tesla to space if u have enough spare coins in your pocket! So Is it becoming less likely to somehow get blessed and get a ride in one of the Fighting Forces fast movers like I hope Im not the only one,,The really cool thing about Elons space taxi is less likely to get a cramp in a tiny bathroom u couldn't walk off in the whats it call 53KM Club, the extra roomie bathroom Space X planned is a definite bonus! It I go Better believe Im getting all the extras for the price, that is if there is a willing lady friend, looks don't matter in the vacuum of space
