This man and his company have turned so many nights that were heading to be lonely and miserable, to trips into space. I use Omni in my psy trance jams, i use it along with keyscape in my boom bap tracks, i sometimes simply jam for hours with Stylus in the mix..Brilliant sound and endless possibilities for further manipulation of each patch. Nylon Sky has the detail, stereo width, and rich tone of keyscape but applied to nylon guitar and soaked in gorgeous shimmery reverb. It’s amazing how spectrasonics creates such precise and realistic instruments and then lets you manipulate them in one of the most comprehensive synth engines in existence. You can truly have your cake and eat it too. I’ve been waiting for some spare change to buy omnisphere… now I’ve gotta save for the extensions too! Love seeing the passion your team has for the music they make and the tools that create it.

I have all four extensions, and they are incredibly versatile! Nylon Sky is the most convincing classical/nylon guitar sample set I have ever used, and it's also a great starting point for making modern "Atmosphere" type sounds, especially with that sweet reverb. Seismic Shock is definitely more than capable of delivering a heavy impact, though I would appreciate a raw recording from the nitrogen oscillator. Undercurrent is great for both darker cinematic and darker synthpop motifs, and Unclean Machine has that 80s beefiness combined with incredible expression. The work of Eric Persing has touched the ears of billions, from early Roland digital keyboards, to the GS soundset on every Windows and Mac computer, and many more. Maybe this is a strange request, but it would be cool to see a resample of the piano recorded for the early 90s Roland modules (SC-55, JV-1080, etc.). That piano is still used quite a bit today - it would be interesting to hear it refreshed.

Great work Spectrasonics! I might be picking up Undercurrent. I'd really like to see them create an extension that focuses on orchestral instruments. They have a fantastic arpeggiator and it would work great with hybrid orchestral stuff.

Some absolute banging sounds on these new products, really impressive! How fantastic to see Bob’s work showcased in this quasi-ad/short documentary!! Bob and I used to work together for Hans back in the day, and it’s some of the best memories I have working in the business. Bob from the beginning was always ahead of the game and a pioneer in sound design! I recently saw him in the studio and it was like no time has passed after all these years. Congratulations on the release! :) Always a pleasure to see something new from creative, passionate people such as yourselves. I have to admit: I first came into contact with Sonic Extensions through the website and I did not get what was special about it. The first glance can be pretty deceiving: “a bunch of presets, sounds and macros for $150 a pop? But I already got a bazillion of those!” This video however makes the value of these extensions abundantly clear. Now I get it, and the whole set is awesome. Congratulations again! I am just a hobbyist, but there is not a week where I am not playing Omnisphere, many times just to relax and enjoy endlessly, but then also to build tracks and songs. Inspiration and creativity just come by itself, it’s like magic. For me it’s the best VST on the market and in combination with a hardware control the most inspiring synth I own. Just purchased these awesome extensions and l am totally looking forward to experimenting with the new patches and effects. This demo and documentary is mind blowing and I just love the Spectrasonics team for what they do!

Hey guys, congratulations on yet another epic release. As expected, the sounds are amazing and the concept of SonicEXtensions is great, since Omnisphere already has an incredible engine, that just keeps getting better. I was blown away by Nylon Sky and I think these are the kind of instruments you should be focusing on in future releases - real acoustic instruments. Not that the other 3 SonicEXtensions are lacking in cool sounds, it's just that it kind of feels like "more of the same". We already have so much incredible synths and possibilities in Omnisphere, that hardly anything in that realm can sound as NEW and as EXCITING as more realistic, acoustic instruments in the already vast ecosystem. I think that in the world of virtual instruments, the area that is not covered well in any sound library are ethnic wind instruments like Ney, Duduk, Kaval, Bansuri, many different kinds of ethnic flutes, etc. There are libraries that have those instruments (and I have most of them), but unfortunately none of them sound as good and as realistic as your products do. I understand that a lot has to do with the challenges of sampling wind instruments, capturing their expression and articulations, scripting it and translating it into a realistic playable instruments - it's hard, but I know it is certainly possible and I'm sure you could pull it off in all of the Spectrasonics glory. :) I think that many users would welcome these types of sounds into Omnisphere since it would give a completely new and fresh flavor and endless possibilities for cinematic use. So realistic EthnicWinds - that would be a SonicEXtension that I would preorder. :) Keep up the good work!

Incredible! I'm pretty sure you guys have already thought of this and already are working on it because you're always ahead, but making a Omnisphere and the rest of your product specific keyboard controller like Kontakt did for their sample libraries, but more knob per function based would really open this synth up to hands on live tweaks because there's so much under the hood. I'm convinced any synth sound I need can be achieved by Omnisphere a controller would unlock that power for quick hands on tweaks.

Only about 10 minutes in and I'm thinking "I can't believe I've never thought to try having the delay pitch offset!" I've thought to have two different sounds playing the same notes and have one be 100% wet through a delay (makes it seem like a cool backing melody that's still clearly related to the main melody), but not a different pitch. Your products are inspiring even before I've bought them!

The delay pitch is cool it's like FabFilter Timeless 3. The clouds knob reminded me of Valhalla Supermassive. Great effects. Great job Spectrasonics!

First, Congratulations Eric and Spectrasonic Team. Great job! I knew you were working on something, but didn't know what. This is exciting, all 4 Extensions. I really, like Nylon Sky, Undercurrent, and Unclean Machine sounds like a lot of fun. Great demo and performance by Bad Snacks! Thank you for offering a discount for purchasing multiple ones. I would love a "loyalty" discount for us that have been with you since the beginning and own everything. Especially, because I expect you will come out with more of these and other great products that never cease to amaze! I'm hoping your team is working on a RMX Refresh or update, as it's a great product and would love to see more of it. I have one global feature wish for all your products. I would love to see some type of basic sequencer added, it could also have a "step" function, but I'm primarily talking about something simple like the Ensoniq SQ80 8 Track Sequencer. I have Cubase 11 Pro, which is awesome, but sometimes I want to just launch something like Keyscape Standalone or OMNISPHERE Standalone and not load up Cubase when I just get inspired or am noodling around with a sound. Having a simple 8 track recorder built-in with an ability to export the MIDI Tracks like RMX does would be really useful. Thank you for all your hard work and amazing products!

JUST bought Two of these today 3-3-2023 after a long contemplation. Take it from someone who has hardware, too much soft synths etc,...the Nylon Guitar is stunning. Pro tip: Combine with a hardware synth pad from like a MODX+. Another world Pro tip two: Buy Omnisphere first. I wish I did and saved probably 2k. They literally have everything you need.
