@DriversTherapy I'm aware, but spectre filters do not require pre-oil, where as k&n require pre-oil. I've only seen one other brand to do pre-oil from the early 2000's and I think they are no longer around either. And yes there is an option to pre-oil the Spectre after washing, but there is no point especially if you run a cover sleeve like I do. I still have my pre-oil k&N oil filter I purchased back in 2003 or 4 for my brand new that I've only used a few times, and it still has oil on it from the factory 20 years later. And the reason why I stopped using it was because it kept blowing MAF. That's why I only run Dry or Sponge filters.

Unless necessary for a supercharged application where a conical filter is actually needed, no oiled-gauze filter will go in any of my vehicles. You're paying more money for less (and inadequate) filtration and NO performance benefit. AEM dry filters are another animal.
