Spectrum 128 grey repair

This looks quite similar to a Grey Issue 3 I have at the moment. The diagnostic cart says IC6 and IC20-24. Just waiting for parts before I go at it.

Good stuff! Shame the diagnostic couldn't give you a better idea of which chip was faulty. Nice fix!

Thanks. I've just found a better diagnostic tool built into the cartridge that may have identified the chip. Hey ho!

Hi, can't remember the specific seller but it will have been an ebay purchase as some point. I bought a job lot a while ago.

I'd have put money on that being the CPU with the thick stripes on the display. 🤔 Good job I'm not a betting man! And in my defence, I've only ever worked on 48k models. 😁
