Haha - I use a similar fake name with Spectrum scammers et al. My fake name is "Uris Gamber" - my favorite part is when they spell it and then read it back to me. ("You're a scammer?") Keep wasting their time - and have fun doing it!

I got this call and I went with everything they said and I was suppose to mail them a check for one month and I would get 6 months free. They gave me an address and the name of the bank to make the check out to. Then the girl ask me to read back the address to send the check to and then ask me when I would be sending my check and I said never but thank you so much for all the information to report your ass. She was silent for a minute then said oh. So I did call spectrum and gave them the information and they were amazed I got all that and I said no problem, I was raised by a cop.

@@ScrewingwithScammers You and I use some of the same tricks. Dedicated scammer phone line (I have two), comprehensive fake information, slow-walking the “dig-its” and a double-meaning name. I use Youra Smammer, with the accent on the last syllable. That way they don’t catch it until they spell it out, then they get pissed!

These are the first steps in stealing your identity! If you even give them your last four digits of your social security number and your birthdate, they can get your complete SS number. Then they ask for your credit card number if it is your debit card they could empty your bank accounts! There are many things they can do to ruin your life by getting this info! DO NOT GIVE THESE SCUMBAGS ANY PERSONAL INFO!! Everything I give them is made up!! Thanks for watching! Spectrum is still pulling this crap? When I called for new service I was offered a "special promotion" for $150 per month with equipment etc for internet only. (this was actually the bundle price, phone, internet, tv) I just wanted internet, which he insisted was just the internet price so I ended the call and went online and pay about $55 after fees even though I'm using my own equipment.

When speaking with scammers DO NOT EVER use keywords of approval like yes, ok, sure, fine, etc. They will record the call and use these keywords for approval of purchases for themselves. Be very careful of what you say. This gentleman is using the wrong keywords.

This is a myth that has been debunked. No financial or retailer is going to process a major transaction by hearing a recording of a voice saying “Yes”. It wouldn’t hold up in court to begin with, they would have to prove it’s your voice to begin with. There has NEVER been a real life case of a scammer getting a monetary windfall by misusing a recorded voice saying “Yes”. They only do this to see if your phone number is active or not and sell your phone number to other scammers.
