You have a wonderful set of markers and really enjoyed watching you creat this cute little girl. I wish a producer of color pencils would do the same number/letter system as these markers. Markers intimidate me... love how they work, the end product and watching you use them. I’m not talented enough to produce or actually see where highlights/shading should go...don’t know why but am trying to learn. So when I watch someone create with markers I get mesmerized and what them all but reality is... I’d make a mess. I really enjoy your insight and talent. I’ll be looking forward to your full line up of Spectrum Noir products. Thanks 😎

Great video Claire. This has really helped me as I've just completed my collection of the original set of Spectrum Noir markers. My preferred method is coloured pencil but I decided to branch out and try one set of markers. Looking forward to watching the next videos.

I have some of these markers. What I struggle to understand is why go to the bother of showing colours on the tips of the pens that bear no relation to the actual colours. They should either be accurate or not at all.
@DieterPrivate3 жыл бұрын
There is only 1 brand that is able to perfectly match the colour on the medium with what they produce: Faber Castell. That said, I believe that even if they don't match, mostly they match relatively towards each other, and that can help in choosing. Though creating your own swatch chart is always a great help, as colours can depend on the paper....

This was a awesome video hon. I don't have any spectrum noir anything I just got a nice set of 72 prismacolor pencils from a family friend who wouldn't let my daughter tell me who it was from. Being on disability I can't afford much of anything. Buy alot of my coloring books from the dollar store only problem they have double side pictures so only able to color one side is always ruined. My dream is to one day be able to get a full set of each of the spectrum noir markers. So glad to know if I get a 12 pack of one of them they won't have duplicates. Never knew about having to keep layering to get the actual color of the pen either. Can't wait to hear all about the other mediums they have too. Haven't ever looked into them because knew I couldn't afford them but maybe buying a little at a time. Don't know difference between price in the U.S. Will be checking price's though. If it's not too much trouble could you also include U.S. prices too. Really appreciate if you could. Thanks for the awesome video's you do for us. Really means alot.😃 you are a AWESOME ARTIST. So glad I found your Utube video's. 😃 can't wait for your next one.

Hi Claire. Could I ask you about the skin colours, you said the No.'1 is the lightest colour but you added it as the darker colour around her face. I have noticed also in some colour groups they don't seem to go in order., would you know why? Look forward to hearing from you. X

I know I'm late, but I'm hoping you can answer my question; So, I only have the graphic markers, and I see how well the illustrator blends. Can I still get a good blend without the brush tip? Or is it just more difficult with the chiseled tip? Great video btw. Answered a lot of my questions. :)

Yes, They Can Blend As Easily As The Illustrator (Brush nib) Becuase They All Use The Same Ink

A job well done, I hate markers that leaves lines and pools of colour instead of being blended, these actually look awesome and the price is definitely affordable. Tfs xo

Hi Claire. Thanks for the informative vid - just what I was looking for. Would you say that the range of colours in all of the Illustrator set packs combined covers a decent enough spectrum to blend easily and be getting on with? I'd love to get the entire Illustrator range but buying the rest individually is a bit out of my price range for now, and these seem to be a viable alternative to the 72pack of Copic Ciaos... Cheers
@ColourwithClaire5 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes I think so. The sets are curated to contain colours that work well together x

@@ColourwithClaire Hey, sorry got one more question. Have you found that the brush nibs fray easily/quickly? I'm hearing a lot of people report this. I know they're replaceable but I don't like the idea of them wearing out super quick!

Finally!!! The best explanation I’ve ever seen about alcohol markers, and how to use them and Spectrum Noir. The only thing I’d love to hear your opinion on is this: given an equal price, would you prefer Copic (or some other brand) over these?

Definitely prefer Copic for the nib xx

Hey Claire, I'm trying to research the Graphic and Illustrator makers to purchase and I'm not able to find 216 colors for each of them. Here is what I have been able to find: Graphic:eight sets of six and four sets of twelve markers = 96 markers Illustrator:eight sets of six and four sets of twelve markers = 96 markers These are the only pack listed on both Amazon and Crafters Companion. Where do I find the remaining 120 markers for each of these? If you can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it as I'm a bit confused. :>)

Hey, sorry got one more question. Have you found that the brush nibs fray easily/quickly or are they durable? I'm hearing/seeing a lot of people report some fraying. I know the nibs are replaceable but I don't like the idea of them wearing out super quick and losing some accuracy when working on smaller areas as a result! Thanks.
@ColourwithClaire5 жыл бұрын
They do fray with use, for sure. If you're careful with them and don't put too much pressure you should be ok

waste of money they are being sold as a life time investment because they are refillable they say but the problem is that they have not had the ink available for over two years, try to find some if you think I'm wrong. I have been contacting them asking where I can get refill ink for two years and all they keep saying is it will be available soon.
@ColourwithClaire6 жыл бұрын
I agree they should have made the refills available long ago
