One day after the Fall of the Wall, the former Chancellor and Mayor of Berlin, Willy Brandt, gives a speech on John F. Kennedy Square in front of Rathaus Schöneberg. He looks back on his time as mayor and the erection of the Wall. He reminds the citizens that there is still a lot to do for the reunification, even after the Wall has fallen. He emphasises that the Nazi regime was responsible for the division of many nations and cities and he is grateful to be able to witness "how the parts of Europe are growing together again." Helmut Kohl, Walter Momper, Jürgen Wohlrabe and Hans-Dietrich Genscher also shared their thoughts on the fall of the Wall that evening.
