thank you for this video...I am a student and was tasked with researching a new technology...I have been researching IBM watson speech to text and other technologies but was lost as to how to incorporate them into code...i wanted something that would help me understand and did a step by step walk though of speech to text...this is by far the best I have found to get me started!

Nice tutorial, thanks! Talking about opening youtube channels or recognition of any other specific phrases, I think it would be correct to turn all texts to lowercases and then check if it includes some words.

Great video. Is anyone else getting the issue of the microphone turning off frequently? I'm not sure how to modify the code to stop this from happening. I was thinking it could be a Google issue, but I'm not seeing a way to keep my microphone always on.

You will need to deploy it on a local server to cache the settings or else everytime it will startup asking you

It DOES turn off, BUT the trick of the "end event" and starting inside the end event, DOES solve it, I've tested it in Chrome in desktop and in Chrome in Android cell phone. The problem is that in cell phone you get a beep when starting, and you can't disable it, as far as I've seen.
