Speech therapy for kids! Join this speech therapist as she practices saying CV (consonant - vowel) words. Each sound has a corresponding verbal cue and paired hand/body movement.
First the word is modeled with cues, then the therapist cues the child to say the word at the same time, and then the child is prompted to say each word three times.
This video is designed to help children speech delays and most specifically Apraxia of Speech. Research shows that apraxia of speech requires high levels of practice and repetition. Pairing sounds with verbal cues and hand/body movements deepens learning and facilitates quicker success.
