My son went through this around this timeframe and it was so scary. He was talking just fine until suddenly he could hardly get past mom. Each word was a struggle. But after intense research, I waited the 6 months. After 6 months he started to talk normal again, and he spoke with much bigger vocabulary. Apparently this does happen when the toddler is expanding their vocabulary and want to use those big words and they get stuck. Now he is 4 and not only does he love to talk he talks with more elaborate words than all of his classmates

I am 27 now, and as someone who underwent speech therapy at the age of 10 for some time, it really helped initially. But since then it has been the same struggle. Even worse. Sometimes, I am at my fluent best, sometimes I can't even speak a line. It's something which doesn't go away even if someone initially works on it. Parents having young kids with a stutter, just one piece of advice. Encourage them to speak as much as possible. Make a routine where the child speaks for at least 1 hour about the daily routine. Tell him to narrate stories. Make him/her feel comfortable. Ask the child to focus on the content, and not on the stutter. Even if there is stutter, make him feel normal about it. No matter how bad it is. Make an environment where no one is afraid to speak, and no one is tensed. This would really help.

This video was so helpful. My daughter will be three in October and she started stuttering out of nowhere. I’ve noticed that she is getting frustrated now when she cant get the sentence started and then tells me, “ I cant do it.” Or she starts to whisper what sue wants to say. I will keep observing her and giving her the open space because there have been time when I’ve told her that its ok and to try again :(

So my son is 3 years 2 months old. He just started this 2 weeks ago. It was very faint but now it's getting more and more frequent with stuttering. But he has no other speech issues. He sings well with zero stuttering but just some common words he knows how to say he will repeat like 2 or 3 times before finish it. I am so worried. We have zero stuttering in my family. I am praying this is a fluke it will disappear. My son talks so well just this random out of no where stuttering. How long does it go on before you should tell their health provider and seek help.

No blocks, but his mouth moves a little unusal for him. I think. Maybe i am just freaking out. I have High anxiety on this topic. Should i be very concerned because he had those blocks?
