Speech Writing | How to write a Speech | Format | Example | Exercise

What is a Speech?
A Speech is a formal address or discourse delivered to an audience.
The speech is structured around a purpose.
It aims to convey that purpose with logically connected ideas and provide sufficient supporting evidence to back the idea.
Speech writing is a piece of writing written for developing this kind of Speech.
Speech writing is divided into two sections :
1. Title: First, give the speech a title that catches the attention of the reader.
2. Content :
The content section is sub-divided into three parts :
1. Introduction
2. Body
3. Conclusion
In the Introduction, write in two three lines what is the theme.
Add attention grabber, Greeting and Introduce the topic in short
In the body, You can use three techniques to shape your body as per the theme of the speech.
1. Advantage vs Disadvantage
2. Cause and Effect
3. Problem and Solution
In the conclusion, conclude the speech by giving the overall view or summary of the theme
Do add the call to action at the End of the speech.
Exercise :
Write a speech in 150-200 words on ‘Benefits of early rising’ to be delivered by you in the morning assembly of your school.

When you wake up in the morning you want to feel ready and refreshed, with enough time to get ready for the day in a nice manner, but when you wake up instead you feel rushed and tired in the morning.This is likely because you are not an 'early riser'. When you wake up earlier, you won't have to be pushing yourself to progressing as you can do it at your own pace, and you may even be able to progress faster.There is also the bonus of being more productive as you will likely have free time to do things like revise for a test or do some jobs around the house.There are next to no negatives for waking up earlier. In conclusion we should all wake up earlier in the morning. So when you go to bed tonight, be sure to turn your alarm to just that little bit earlier. Thankyou for listening.

One day I got up early in the morning I was the only one in my house to got up early. I was bored, then I thought about why not exercise or go to walk, I chose to exercise. After doing that I was physically fit and mentally relaxed, I was in peace. Hope you liked my story, now I am going to discuss about "Benefits of Early Rising" , So lets get started ! My name is Liz Musoke I am a Rotarian from the Rotary club of Gayaza and am here to present a topic about Early Rising Early Rising is attributed to early sleeping ,it's believed that the earlier some one sleeps helps them rise up early , however someone can also sleep late and raise Early . The advisable sleeping time is 8 hours and the Doctors believe this is very important for someone to have a healthy life but seemingly even if some people sleep for less hours because of their work schedules yet they also have to rise early . Failure to have enough total rest can cause a very unhealthy system in a human being however this can also be accompanied by physical exercises and great dieting . In conclusion rising early helps us have a very organized day but works hand in hand with great exercising , great dieting and taking alot of water . It was such a great honour speaking to you all .

Benjamin fanklin Early rising is a good habit. It enables us to do a lot of work in the early morning. We can do many of our work in the early morning, before waiting for anyone to awake. Also, whenever we are doing work in early morning, we have a good feeling and a fresh mind. Early rising is best to the students. They can get lot of extra time for studying. In the morning, our mind is fresh, so we can do any work neatly. In the morning, there is a calm environment. There is no extra sound and noise, as in the day time. Answer of Exercise Just think when you are not a early bird and you are going late for the exams but you missed it then what will happen to you? Same happens with me but when I put efforts to wake up early then I felt that is a good habit. Good Morning on and all present. My Self Adesh Kumar Nayak is going to present the benefits of waking up early.
