As Bruce Lee once said 'Be water my friend', meaning when you poor water into a pot, it becomes the pot, poor water into a glass it becomes the glass. When Lucy sings, she is like water, she becomes the song, she sings the song with all her heart and soul, she sings with clarity, smooth control, a beautiful softness, and breath control, she checks all the boxes. Always impressed by your reactions of Lucy. Wow. She is just mesmerizing. What else can you say? I think this is her best performance yet, although We Can Change The World, All By Myself, and Footprints In The Sand come close. And her vocal range is stunning.

Hi Musasia. Lucy’s lower register is soooooo warm and just wraps you up in a warm embrace. I love the high note, we were all waiting for, but the depth of her voice takes the song to a different place, when compared to the original that is sung in a higher range and at a quicker pace. I also like the wider camera angle which allows us to see how Lucy uses her arms to aid her expression and give more feeling. I don’t know if it’s because of her live concert, but this, for me, is one of Lucy’s most relaxed performances ❤

Unbelievable performance of this iconic song!!!! just beautiful....only Bobby Hatfield'' version is a bit better....and that's saying a lot about Lucy's....Also, when Lucy's voice gets better and and better in her late thirties she will surpass Bobby's for sure💘💝💞

I realize that Bobby Hatfield is the one who made this song famous. However, who does the song better is a matter of opinion and personal preference. Also comparing a male performance with a female performance is always problematic. However, after listening to Lucy and then Bobby, I have to say that I prefer Lucy's performance. That being said, Bobby's performance is definitely iconic.

Fine reaction and analysis, Musasia. Whenever Lucy drops a cover like this, I first listen to Lucy several times because she is so amazing. Then I listen to the artist associated with the song a couple of times and then Lucy again. It is important to have that sort of routine because we tend to forget the nuances as well as the tone and timbre of the artist most associated with the song. When I have done that, the results are consistently that Lucy is better - bar none. This is another example. Bobby Hamilton of the Righteous is most often associated with this song though he was doing a cover for Todd Duncan who sang it in the movie 'Unchained'. Bobby's voice is not nearly as full nor as rich as Lucy's. His vibrato sounds forced and not smooth as Lucy. Lastly, Bobby did not possess the range to sing the song without resorting to falsetto. Lucy clearly has the range and power to sing the song. She is clearly better. In fact, who can sing better than Lucy? My answer is nobody.
