It's nice to see that Ryan is not dropping the weights in the gym, like many other gym visitors do, even though those 125lb dumbbells are not easy to handle. Respect!

I hate seeing people drop DBs. If you can press them 10-12 times, you can put them away without theatrics!

Ryan, if you were doing a 12 week bench training cycle, how many weeks out of the 12 would you do speed work? would you do it all the way though or just at the beginning of the cycle?

i thought my 100lb dumbbells for 50 on the med-high incline was a decent dumbbell bench record as i havent used dumbbells for benching in literally years, and then i come across him not even in his prime throwing up 120's for 20 while looking like he could fall asleep. jeez i've heard of a few powerlifters using the 150's and 160's on that version of the dumbbell sklls except the dumbbells are really long so they stretch back and boom bounce them off the floor, more so touch the flor then explode up once its obviously touched. always got his technique down though! still killing me in lower rep stuff though.

nope, hadnt used dumbbells in fucking ages years actually and getting 175's in place was a bitch as i was so unused to it but i did those. i didnt even bother wasting my time spending 10minutes or more to get the 200lb dumbbells in place. plus they were different dumbbells the heavier ones didnt rotate but the lighter ones did and felt way better because the weights rotated on the dumbbell and the movement was much smoother. but 200 lbs i dunno maybe , don't really care i'm more of a barbell person. i was just trying to work on making my pecs a bit more symmetrical so i didnt really do low rep shit with the dumbbells if i was used to dumbbells sure why not i'd try to incline those 200's. wouldnt be anything Ryan, poundstone especially or Spoto hasnt done.

I hope my pecs can be as strong as his triceps one day

I've always based my bench technique off Ryan's as I think we bench similar... Very explosive and lots of volume.
