@@OGA_999 you’re right with a bit of Maldini thrown in. A centre half who plays the game with great positioning and awareness. You never see her dive in, she doesn’t actually tackle!! Composed on the ball, carries it out of defence and always seems to find the right pass. A special talent. Her leadership style is to be an example to others and she’s very calm. Jill Scott can be a similarly influence on the team.

Every time I see LW on or off-field, she reminds me of Sir Bobby Moore. On the field, positional play and timing; off-field a serenity and clarity of thought. I can speak no more highly of someone than to make that comparison.

In the Captains role and as a player, she reminds me of Brian Robson. My schoolboy hero. As a person she is just Leah. Unique, once in a generation personality. Her parents must have realised early on, "We need to clear the decks, Leah is taking this family on a journey".

@@Danno_88 I do watch the premier league, but that wouldn't be commenting on their England performances that would be individual for their respective clubs , the women have fun , well drilled take each game as it comes etc ..the men don't do any of that and still can't win a tournament.

Why do you think we don't see 8-0 blowouts in the men's finals? Cause all the teams are top level. Having fun is great when it's easy. " Well , it wont be " easy " next February , there are still 7 or 8 teams for the England women to beat, if they want to lift the Cup. And its just the same in either section. The men have 7 or 8 teams to beat. So why can the English women beat the top womens teams , and the men cant beat the top mens teams? Its just as hard for the England women to beat the other top 7 or 8 womens teams , as it is for the Engliah men to beat the top 7 or 8 mens teams. or do you not agree ?
