I think this trick is more deceptive if you don't remove the glass while the ribbons are in place. But it's very deceptive either way.

Thanks Mike. You might be right, but I was trying to perform the standard effect so that people know what to expect. Either way it is a great trick and this version is one of the best I have seen.
