Obviously no prior paragliding experience. These types of mistakes never happen, especially so many if you have received a paragliding license. Man, I admire your determination though as you plowed through the falls. Glad you survived...Amazing!

I remember these days. There is a difference between stupidity and self-teaching/pioneership. This guy is a pioneer. Say what you will about proper education, but when done right, there is nothing like flirting with death on a regular basis in order to achieve a successful flight in a single-place aircraft. Yes it's way more dangerous... but it's worth the payoff to look back on what an an incredible feat you've accomplished by trial and error. Long live the pioneers.

come on guys stop complaining!! awesome compilation. i bet this guy has more experience now than 90% of the pilots out there that fly twice a year in supercalm conditions... the important thing is that you learn from your mistakes and understand what you have done wrong.

thank you for sharing! :) a lot of people show only their succses, and not their mistakes. it was a good video for learning!

Martin Osvold sorry but this video only shows how advancing to such a small wing with no experience is in fact both dangerous and deadly! Go to a proper flying school and start on a bigger wing with more lift and allow time and patience to be your friend instead of jumping straight into such a dangerously small wing! No gloves, knee or leg protection? No experience? No sense at all! This is like someone doing their B-rels in skydiving going BASE jumping with no help or experience and hoping they don’t splat! Not a good video to watch, very sketchy and still can’t believe he had no protective gear on!

@@patrickswayze2596 Hi Patrick, That was my first thought, learn to fly a bigger wing first, and only move to a smaller glider, once you have mastered the basic skills.
@patrickswayze25964 жыл бұрын
Richard Crossley absolutely my friend! It took me over a year of flying several times per week with many hours behind me before I even jumped on a 22m speed wing, down to an 18, then I eventually made my way down to a mini wing and into speed flying. I started skydived at 17, and close to 20 years before I got into Paragliging, but aviation has always been a huge part of mine and my families lives, hence why I use this dummy account when just cruising through KZbin because certain people can’t handle certain comments even when they’re non aggressive or they feel the need to argue a point regardless of their knowledge or skills or if they even fly! I take my kids flying with me almost every week weather permitting obviously, but when people see a five year old (now), he was three when he first started flying with me, and my 11YO step daughter also, they feel the need to point out how irresponsible I am and what a horrible human being I am and so on, but I’d never jeopardise my children’s or any tandem passengers lives ever! But speed flying especially on mini wings takes time and patience as your skills and experience develops, and I’m glad there’s at least one person out there as sensible and smart enough to know the difference between stupidity and common sense... Blue skies my friend 👊🏼

Is this serious? Normal people stop after two accidents like this. One advise: go to a flying school and get a bigger wing (like nova swoop 16 sqm). Still go fast but a bit more lift at the take of. With speed flying it is NEVER too steep, but you have to do it right ;-)

I love the attitude, but I' m not sure speedflying is a sport were being bold is good. A small mistake nearly killed me last winter (luckily I crashed in deep snow). So I would add in the rules for succes: "don't count too much on your luck" (obviously applies for me too) wich translates into: "be focused" and "don't go if you have a doubt". Have fun, take care and thanks for sharing the videos.

Haha, respect and thanks for poosting, but I'd name half of the mistakes: lack of wing handling skills, esp ground handling and lack of control during the start. With such small and low allongement canopies there is really a lot you can do to bring it back above the head during the take off, there are also some really efficient ways to start with tailwind. It's all about training though :) Make sure you dont use any cliff-take off until you perfect it :P
