Speed Model - Man

I finished modeling another character :) I condensed about 15 hours worth of modeling into 1 minute of footage. The music is Chinsaku - NoFace.

The closest i got to mesh and form modeling is solid bodies in fusion 360, this looks so intimidating

@@nevermind9925 im mainly interested in making models, but there are a ton of different programs for this. If you want to know how to do 3d animations with your own characters, you also have to know 3d sculpting. This guy uses Maya, there is also source film maker and blender. Right now there are many tutorials on all of these 3, but i honestly hane no idea where to start. I know a bit of fusion 360, its a good program for solid models, it also has mesh, and form. But for models like humans and animals people use Zbrush or Blender, or maya i guess. If you want to learn animation, try out sfm, that one already has models built in. There is a whole community built around it for making animations based on videogames, so tutorials will be straight to the point. I guess that all i can give you for general info, hope you find the rest yourself

@@robohat4837I'm observing, not disrespecting: This shizzle is what starts to make the "PRO" case for claymation. In fact, claymation might be the best way to dip yer toes into animation. I _know_ how overwhelming it might seem, but remember that Walt Disney started out doing individual characters on *tracing paper* 😂 Twenty four sheets for one second! My gently mocking motto for all the ppl who don't want to put in their 10k hours: "All y'all wanna go to heaven but nobody's willing to die first" #paradox 😊

Haha, I took a solidworks class and got my associates certificate, and as someone who does CAD it does look hard if I was making it in that program- but as someone who is also a 3d artist, these modeling programs are much different and are way easier to make these sort of models in. Doesn’t require that much dimension and it’s much looser to create stuff with. (It’s still hard but nicer to make artistic models than most engineering CAD software). Speaking of that, it reminds me of a time in our class where we got to model something to 3D print- I went for modeling gutetama and while I could model it pretty easily kn blender, modeling it in solidworks was torture

I don't think I've seen a modeling timelapse where the camera stays in place during the whole process. Can Maya just separate one viewport into another window so you could capture it?

My first ever character model had four fingers instead of five and it was really hard to find proper references and tutorials that show how to get good topology with four-fingered hands.

I tried to use blender. Had the same program as the yt video and i followed it to the T then right as i got to the good stuff I’m clicking the exact thing the vid is showing and it hust wouldnt do it. No matter what i tried. Just gave up on it

Blender has had a few updates that changes these things so unfortunately some tutorials are out of date- something I found helpful was to look it up on google how to do something I see in a video. Use a video, and if there was something I didn’t know, search. Many forums out there as well. Happy modeling
