I felt the same way yesterday when I first heard this band. 37 here. I instantly thought "Wow, I might be listening to my favorite band ever right now." So fucking good. The vocalist's delivery is otherworldly. Great lyrics, great riffs, great drums. I would never believe these song compositions were written by people so young. They have punk rock energy to a tee. Totally original...

saw them open for Bad Religion a couple weeks ago, they had a relatively older crowd giving loud applause after every song in their set - that should tell you all you need to know. I looked up the band and saw that Riley the lead singer is only 16, damn she is already a great frontwoman for this band. The band had great energy and she even finished the last song by jumping into the crowd and running around in the pit which was so cool. These guys deserve so many more views!

16?!?! That's f*king punk rock as f*ck.
@jeremysmith4620 Жыл бұрын
16? That makes sense. The lyrical composition seemed a little, IDK, young? I didn't want to call it juvenile because of the more critical and possibly negative connotations that wording might hold. Sounding young isn't a negative thing at all and is, of course, appropriate if the artist is young. You wouldn't want someone that age trying to scream out deep philosophical verses about pain and loss they didn't write and can't relate to. The straightforward simplicity and rawness of youth/youth culture is one of the many factors that made punk rock explode into the musical consciousness like it did circa '74 to '76 in London and New York. It's actually really refreshing to hear something that does sound so youthful and not written by committee.

Same here, I saw them open for BR in Chico and was blown away both by how young they are and how much raw energy and talent they have. I feel like they are going places. 🔥

The lyrics of the song, for everyone who wants to read them: Don't force your story on me. Not gonna be who you want me to be. I may, fortunately. Don't put your boring on me. Rest in peace. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. I'm not your circus freak. Your covers make me sleep. Don't bury me in clichés. Don't put your narrative on me. Rest in peace. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Don't want your smile. Gimme teeth. Let it sleep. Rest in peace. Don't want your smile. Gimme... What's done is done. Let it sleep. Rest in peace. Let it sleep. What's done is done. Let it sleep. Rest in peace. Let it sleep.

No rock or metal bands today can tour arenas. The best they can muster is like a 3k theater. What's really sad is those huge festivals they have now are ALL headlined by 50 something year old rock guys. One had 100 bands over 4 nights. EVERY night the top 2 or 3 acts were bands 20 or so years past their prime. Kids don't like or go see rock anymore because it died quite some time ago. Facts.
@glencarson263510 ай бұрын
@@SuperGregrr It's coming back... Greta Van Fleet... Dirty Honey, The Warning, Starcrawler... all these bands are sure helping to bring rock back.
@SuperGregrr10 ай бұрын
The Rock era is no different than the swing or jazz eras. They all reflect a moment in time in the US. I may like certain songs from Starcrawler etc, but its all kinda just cosplay. I could have started a doo wap group in the 80s or 90s and could have looked it and sounded like it, but could I ever have been doo wap? Of course not. The world has pretty much turned upside down in the last 20 years culturally and these kids today just don't share the more organic way of life older generations did. Rock isn't a look or sound, it was a time period. @glencarson2635
