Have the same Speed Queen set as seen in the video. Three weeks ago before I bought the speed Queens I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, the were absolutely junk. They tore holes in my clothes and didn't get my clothes clean. The Speed Queen brand is the truth. I will never buy another brand again they truly are the best.

The features and build layout are almost exactly like my Maytags that I bought in 1987 and still work like new. But if they do fail, it will only be Speed Queen. Good video.

Nobody noticed the Angel on the wooden post. You can see it at about 1:20 on the timer. My mother Sarah Whit Esralian (1927-2004) made those by hand. Everyone in our family had one. Mom became an Angel herself in 2004 when she passed into heaven. She was a Godly woman and Sunday School teacher as well as a Deacon in our church. Everyone loved her.

Not sure about one piece of advice. The Speed Queen manual says to put the detergent into the machine before adding the clothes (as opposed to pouring it on top of them). Not sure why.

I have this exact same washer. Everything is hooked up right, water is on, water pressure is fine in the house. For some reason, any setting that I put it on, it just starts spinning and doesn’t fill with water at all. It just spins and spins with no water. What the hell is going on?

Can you put in a lighter King size quilt? I am purchasing a Huebsch top load washer which is another name for Speed Queen but made in Germany... hence the $1300.00 price tag. I found that the top load Cabrio agitator was very harsh on the T shirt necklines and agitated quilts on one spot wearing the fabric - like the old fashioned knuckle rub. I've had it a month and want my old machine back - so I pulled our my wringer washer so I don't destroy the rest of my clothes. I also need a spin only cycle for spinning the hand washables and starch out of my curtains with no rinse. Simple is best - I would like to see the times on the dial though because I like to wash fourteen minutes and rewind for another few extra minutes. I don't like the guessing. I also catch the wash water into a barrel sometimes to reuse on the next load or for other purposes.

For large items like quilts and pillows I definitely recommend a front loader with a larger capacity.

I literally bought the key for them but I can't find the key hole for the washer and the dryer just opens up the slot where the wires are and I don't know what to do with that

Yes, I agree, they were very nice guys and so well informed. Aren't they cute? See the Angel on the post by that one guy? My mom made that. In fact, she made several of them and gave them to all our family members.

What is your max drying time on the automatic/regular? Mine is taking 2 hours and it's brand new...I've only used it 3 times :-/

The max drying time is much less than the 2 hours you mentioned. You might be having a problem with exhaust or something that restricts the flow. The one thing my wife does not like is this dryer does not have a buzzer to signal the end of the drying cycle. This is inconvenient for her. I say just listen to when it stops and that's when it's done.

i would put the detergent first then have the washer fill up and as the washer fills up i would had the clothes

My wife does it that way, it makes no difference unless the detergent has bleach in it. In general it is best to add detergent to a tub full of water, not on empty with clothes in there.

It's OK, it won't hurt anything to go fast. What hurts the machine is to go in the WRONG DIRECTION. Always go clockwise, never counter-clockwise.

he made a mistake the real way is water first then detergent and then clothes as the washer fills but each have there system
