The sign of a great game, when you get the hang of techniques and such and your performance improves allowing you to go to the next level it is a real satisfaction. Games should stop trying to cater to "everyone" by dumbing them down. Give us more to discover and enjoy and make the people who can REALLY play stand out to inspire the rest.

@FireDragonKaryu Bought it, I played a few races only, didn't have spare time to play it seriously yet, I like the game, I have the ps2 version and looks beautiful for ps2 standards. I have a question thoght, is this game too easy? Theres a hard mode after beating or something? The few races I played were easy, I heard theres a code to make the oponnents more violent and stuff.

I always make sure to keep at least one boost, as they are also used for healing your car. I do go into "the zone" though and I use them for speed boosting quite a bit in races.

@AmericanEAGLE40 Speed is not everything in this game, and I use the Mach 6 for its blend of acceleration and handling. I completed every race in the game with it. just find what "your" car is and stick with it. The trick is tactics. If you can keep a steady stream of boosts coming (say level 1 and 2 boosts) you can keep your lead for a substantial time. However the game has "rubberband" AI meaning they will ALWAYS close the gap. Keep striking them for boost and bust tricks on jumps.

@AllanSanches the races do get harder as you go up in leauges, cars get faster and races longer. difficulty I say probably rises a little but not too much especially since by the end you should in tune with your fave cars handling etc. There is a "hard mode" league after finishing the game. At least in the Wii version, I don't think the PS2 version should be any different.

Yes, you'll notice in the video I actually attack by using them. Do a backflip behind someone to throw them with the cars nose for example, or land on them doing a flip. On some jumps I do corkscrews.

Nope. Speed pads, boost gradually fills and makes 4 boosts. health gain (by using some of your boost) Other than that its just you and your car which I like. Mario kart online is annoying due to its luck factor with power ups.

I couldn't tell you, been years since I played this. I do still have the game so I could find out, however I do know Speed's car may not actually be the fastest as his car is "balanced" stats wise, there are some racers that are stat based around pure speed.

it does work you have to go to wii menu just so you know when you click it you have to use a wii remote and it will say tv screen or tv screen and gamepad

As far as I know it was only released on Wii, unless asn emulated version is available.

Of course you can! Here's what you can do to play that portable: 1. Install Dolphin Emulator (Gamecube and Wii emulator) (Android ver.) 2. HARDEST PART: Download the ISO (4.37 GB) 3. Launch the ISO at Dolphin Emulator Android version 4. After this, you are on! The game runs. The only glitchy thing the game is so slow emulating. I've never did that. But it works.

Needed. If they'd create it for the Xbox 360, they don't need to change the graphics, the graphics can be the same as the Wii but the only thing it changes is the PS2's driving style, and adding the last 5 PS2 characters. Great, right?
