What an amazing interview. I honestly felt like I was in the conversation with them and couldn't believe I watched for 12 minutes when it was done

this is why podcasting is simmons' best medium. he happens to be an amazing long form interviewer. he just isn't a TV guy.
@dhill60258 жыл бұрын
Jonah is one of the best guests yet. Really good stuff. I so hope this show gets a chance to come into its own. It really just needs to be longer. Simmons' strength is talking to people and getting them to open up like he has done on his podcast for years. You need a little more time for that magic to happen.

I could listen to Jonah talk for hours, he's always got funny or interesting things to say

The reason Bill is so good at interviews is he's a true fan of everyone he interviews. He does his research, and he makes a great list of questions he can pull from. And he knows how to craft a prompt or question as to make it interesting to other fans.

It's too bad the show is apparently doing so poorly. His solo segments don't work as well as his written columns, but his interviews are seriously top notch. It's so much conversational and less phony than nightly talk shows, and you can tell the celebrities are more comfortable by how much more they open up.

It actually isnt doing as bad as people make it out to

+TheLittleThings Media Nework yes it is. It gets about 100k viewers per week unless there's a popular movie on as a lead in. That's atrocious.

I don't have access to the show. I pay $140 for direct tv a month and the show isn't even available for me.
@SunRys18 жыл бұрын
The problem is Bill Simmons should link up with like Netflix or any streaming website like Hulu that would be willing to film his interviews, because I really do love his interviews and I agree with bigguy. People definitely see far more comfortable, and you can tell when even Nas is getting animated and giving his personal opinions and perspectives.
@baracka1127 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter. If you scroll down to the comment sections of this video and cut out the actual video footage, it sounds not bad. On a podcast, this would be great material. But there's a difference between podcast and video. On the video footage he seems pretty awkward. Honestly he should just follow Joe Rogan's format.

That was a great fuckin segment. Bill always my favorite and Jonah so smart and its so obvious that he is so smart.
@cmillertime74777 жыл бұрын
Jonah loves Kanye and Stern and considers them geniuses... Jonah is many good things, but "smart" is clearly not one of them. At least, he is absolutely NOT smart musically to consider Kanye a genius. Everything Kanye does can be replicated by a teenager with a laptop. But that's "genius." Fucking insulting.

More dominant for sure. Greater Laker? Obviously not. (As for greater player. Two guys in NBA history won that genetic lottery which meant that they could be the greatest in history if they wanted it bad enough: Shaq and Wilt. Neither of them wanted it bad enough, that's why people rate them behind the guys who didn't win that lottery and still won more.)
