'SPEED' became known with their magnificent music video based on 5.18 Kwangju democratic movements along with the featuring of 'Kang MinKyung of Davichi'. They are releasing their first regular album 'Superior SPEED'.
The title song 'IT'S OVER' has R&B style strong Introduction, and the song is an electronic dance song with its arrangement stands out. Away from the regular repetitive dance songs there is a start and end to the song. The song is good to listen to,having very firm melody line with semi-retro sound.

Everyone down here talking about Naeun, Bo-Young and Ji Chang-Wook....yes, they are very good artists, but I think the message and the story of this mv is better and more important, than the stars. I came here because of an article about actors that were part of Kpop MV, but... this is the only one that caught my interest because the second I saw May 1980, I remembered hearing about those protests (actually through Reply 1988 but that inspired me to read more about that history). I love any movie/video that is based on a true story, even more so when it's historical. I love that they made an MV about such an important event in South Korea's history. I don't know if there are any other dramas that depict what happened, if not, there should be. I love Wookie & BoYoung, but it was the history that captured my attention.

this video makes me cry every time... and it's strange because I'm not Korean and this is not my history, but I think people everywhere can relate to stories of citizens rising up against tyrannical systems. This is so saddening. I've never cried so much from watching an MV. To cry for watching a reenaction of the real event already hurts & Pains me so much. To actually go through the pain as many of those people had, I don't think I can last. I'm sorry to hear about this just now. All the innocent lives that were lost due to this event. I had no idea this was based on a true event until the end of the video, so I read up on the Gwangju Massacre some, and wow that was depressing. War is always a sad thing, but the protesters in this event were innocent citizens who were fighting for democracy to overtake the oppressive dictatorship. Apparently, many of the protesters were basically defenseless, with rocks as their only weapons. A number of the demonstrators were university students, so a lot of young people suffered first-hand. Even onlookers and taxi drivers who were taking the injured to hospitals were beaten and killed.

Something like this happened before in our country. Not exactly alike, but something like this. I wasn't born at that time yet, but my relatives used to tell me stories about it. It was called Martial Law. It was once implemented here in the Philippines... According to my relatives, they had curfew. And if anyone broke that curfew, they would end up being killed. And then people who tired to protest ended up dying. It was terrible! It's a good thing that our country got back the freedom it (we) deserve. :)

Kwangju massacre is a little different from martial law though. People were shot on the street for using busses and kids were shot while swimming in the lake for no reasons. And people from Kwangju got mad enough that they took weapons and tried to fight back. It's a really fascinating historical event. People should go read about it.

@@pinoydramaacademy hi! Just to let you know, I made this comment 7 years ago (I was 14-15 yrs. old, at most), and I’m already 22 now. I’m already an International Studies major, and I’m glad that I was, and continue to be able to gain context regarding these two major events. The Gwangju massacre & the implementation of the Martial Law in the Philippines are completely different events. However what is similar to me, still, is that these two events were led by leaders who were too greedy for power, and we cannot take away the fact that they ended up taking so many innocent lives. Just my two cents!

Not a lot of people from around the world know about Gwangju massacre/uprising, and I agree that it’s definitely something for others to read about 🤗

I just watched the movie "A Taxi Driver" that was recommended in one of my classes. I was looking for more content on the Gwangju Massacre and I stumbled upon this MV. On one note, great surprise to see Ji Chang Wook, Park Bo Young and Ha Seok Jin in this, I love them. More seriously, I'm not familiar with the group SPEED but they did an amazing job portraying the incident. The awfulness of what happened gets me every time!

이 영상이 사랑이야기를 5.18과 매칭시킨것에 불만인 자들은 광주민주화운동을 대중으로 부터 격리시켜 박제화하려는 자들로 보인다. 물론 독재에 대한 항거가 핵심이지만 무고한 민중을 청칼든 군인들이 학살한 장면이 바로 이 뮤비의 관점이거늘 자신만의 아집에 빠져 더 진보하지 못한 자들이거나 대중이 진실을 아는 것을 막는 자들일듯.

Why did I find out about this so late?! Both It's Over and That's My Fault are amazing songs and the mvs are just as amazing :) Speed is very talented, it's sad that not many people know about them :( Park Bo Young and the other female singer (don't know her name) are great singers too :) Fighting Speed!

Are there only 2 songs in this series with Ji Chang-wook? I just watched That's My Fault and It's Over; both songs are quite good. The event portrayed in these videos is the same one in Youth of May, right? I'm always shocked to see how brutally the military beat and shot civilians and students, no less. It's hard to believe it really happened.
