I just started that draw earlier today. Ironically I see your video.

True. Tube is hard because of the draw weight and not many tweak and customisation could be done. Stick with flat band.

Whoa, not bad for a home made sling shot considering a low end compound is only doing like 300 odd fps. Like the fact ur making sling shots from figure eights, pretty cool. I seem to have the bug right now and and looking at my climbing gear thinking will i start chopping it up LOL! I subbed btw, saw you are judoka too eh?

Semi butterfly is my go to shooting style, for this very reason. The power, accuracy, and speed you get from it are amazing. Are you using old TBG or the new thinner stuff?
@TheSmoShow14 жыл бұрын
I'm using the new stuff. I just got a decent amount of GZK .62 and after trying SimpleShot Black, Precise, and SHESHOU, I will probably never buy Theraband again. It's just not the same anymore...

@@TheSmoShow1 I've been experimenting with different latex for almost a year. I've tried everything from TBG to all those you listed, and got my money GZK has the best latex as far as longevity, snap, and variation in thicknesses goes.

How do you figure out how long to cut your bands? I pull to behind my ear and don’t know how long to make my bands
@TheSmoShow13 жыл бұрын
Measure your draw length with a tape measure, then divide that number by 5 to start. I have a 30inch draw from the slingshot in my hand to my face. So I divide by 5 and get 6inches. Then I add an extra inch so I have some room to tie the bands to the frame and tie the pouch on.
@no-trick-pony4 жыл бұрын
Nice comparison, thanks! For me personally it means there isn't much to gain from the additional bandlength that is worth the switch. 10% speed increase isn't enough for me to ditch the benefits of quicker aiming for me. Also note that the first bandset measured 7.9 pounds while the second one 8.5 - which is an increase in draw weight by around 8%. I don't think that this is the main contributing factor but it would be interesting to see if an increase that tiny in the regular bandset would also increase fps. Secondly: Have you tried to shoot full butterfly? To me as a beginner it looks kinda scary but also interesting since it increases the band length even further.

Interesting 🤔 it's not a ton of difference in half butterfly and normal draw, not worth the risk IMHO.

Great video, I just got into slingshots about 2 months ago and still not sure how I want to shoot. I can hit 10 cans in a row at 10 meters,,, is that bad or good? I was trying butterfly today and I kinda like it but was not as accurate. I would hit a can about 1 out of 5. The shots were close but not close enough. In your opinion should I stay with short draw or what? I am so new I don't know what is good or bad. Any advice is appreciated. Your new subscriber 👍 check my channel out if you like😉
@ArmandoRodriguez-pu6pr4 жыл бұрын
I would say practice both. For hunting I would stick to short draw as its the easiest to be quick and consistent with. Also once you start shooting anything thats above or below a flat trajectory, butterfly becomes much harder. I tend to use short draw for hunting set ups and butterfly for frameless or tubes cos their slower. Hope this helps a bit. The main thing is just keep experimenting with new stuff but keep at least one style consistent.
