I tend to work the last way (nude first, then clothes) but I always get depressed when i draw a really nice body and I have to cover it up with clothes ;w;

+otto I just went to your page thinking that you were a beginner artist like me and wow, no wonder you get depressed having to cover up your drawings with clothes - it's because you draw so nicely! ovo

I usually skip steps one and two and go straight to the nude character, and then add clothes.

Great tutorial! Simple but useful n.n I need to worry less about the puppet, I'm too perfectionist and I end up erasing it over and over so it's like drawing the final picture twice u.u

Do you think you can do some tutorial like this, but show the differences between drawing a guy and a girl? I continue to somehow mess these two up because all the male characters I draw either look like girls or super feminine.

I've had this video backlogged for years but never studied it until now. I don't feel like the things I draw feel finished. Once I get in the middle of deciding on form and figure, thinking about the character part gets in the way, and I end up trying to do both in an unorganized way. It's so tempting to jump into details before the body is established, and after I begin doubling back I lose track of the idea I wanted to put down. It really messed with my consistency. Also, what kind of eraser stick holder are you using? I haven't seen one like that in stores.

how do you come up with all of these different poses?
@seph23128 жыл бұрын
Very helpful video! I for some reason have a problem translating the puppet to the human body. I can see what I want but can't do it. I always end up erasing a ton of times and the resulting image is never anywhere near my original plan (And almost always worse.) Gotta keep practicing anatomy I guess.
@HaruHaru4048 жыл бұрын
i feel the same way! and i just can't keep the puppet simple. i still have the mindset of "needs to be perfect once i put down the lines" and that never works because I'm lame...

@seph23128 жыл бұрын
+HaruNatsuAkiFuyuu Yeah, but don't put yourself down. Keep your head high and stick to it.. :) Maybe it is the mindset that we cannot allow ourselves to continue until we are sure the base puppet/anatomy is correct. I've been trying to figure my problem out and many have stated it has to do with not being able see form. In other words seeing the puppet as a set of lines and not as a set of 3-D like shapes. Apparently drawing the body's anatomy in various angles can help with this If I can build my visual memory of the human body, then maybe I won't go into so much detail when I draw a simple puppet.
@HaruHaru4048 жыл бұрын
I'll definitely keep this in mind and just keep on practicing! thank you ^^;
