I thought it would be good to address some common makeup mistakes that I see all the time. We all get stuck in a makeup rutt and get used to applying our makeup products in a certain way. Just a few changes to what you are doing could make all the difference. Makeup should enhance your features, so I'm going to show you how to correct your application incase you are guilty of some of these very common mistakes. Speed Beauty by Caroline Barnes yes please but please don’t only address skintones but also lip skin tones ie if you have quite dark red lips by nature because then it is even harder to find a nude that suits you

Yes it's absolutely helpful! It is so visably obvious when you do a split face. I try to do everything you suggest. I think my makeup looks fresher, younger. Oh...my...goodness. I watched this and thought, yeah, I bet it doesn’t actually make that much difference. So I followed your routine. I am 50 and have used black eyeliner on the top and bottom of my eyes since I was able to put on make up. And I had thought over the last few years how dry my foundation was looking. Yesterday I did your routine in the morning. I looked fresher and more wide awake all day. I’ve just done it again this morning, and each time I look in the mirror, my skin looks fresh, hydrated and my eyes make me look more wide awake and, dare I say it, younger? I am a cynic about most things. But this has worked. (My eyebrows naturally go down at the end anyway, so I won’t be fighting that, but the make up still does the wide awake & fresh trick!). Thank you!

Great brow and blush tips! I only use tinted brow mascara lately, lazy!, and it can look sparse at times. I am intimidated by pencils however I will try this method and 🤞 It can be a fine line between tacky skin before foundation application and looking oily in a half hour. I struggle with that. Loved it, and have found myself that in using a nice moisturiser, before my EltaMD Clear UV Daily Sunscreen, applying my foundation when my skin feels tacky, they give a nice base for my ‘base’ foundation, helping hide minor imperfections, smoothing the skin without the need for any primers, give my skin a more natural appearance and help my foundation stay put throughout the day.
