thanks for your reply mate. I'll get a second opinion! I was riding it one day and it just cut out I took it to the garage and they phone me and said it was a bent crankshaft I thought that was a bit strange !! I'll have someone look at it thanks again mate.

They just say that as the ped is worth less than to fix and when they give a bill for £100 parts and £200 labor they don't get there money but if you can get a mate to fix all well and good mate, I get them in none runners and play around in my own time and fix them, it's a fun hobby better than sitting on the sofa lol

Hiya Mark... I have an MOT failure, one thing only on my 50cc speedfight 2 - forks steering yoke, bent back and rubbing against the plastic when turned left or right (presume kerbed?). Anyhow. Ive bought a new fork/yoke and need to know the relevant torque settings when i finish the job and tighten any nuts back down, i belive the top nut at handle bars i tighten down, then release & re-tighten to a lesser torque?. I did have a Haynes manual but lent it out & never got back... Can you help?... The torque settings were stated at the beggining of the chapter for 'suspension/steering etc'.. Thanks in advance, Colin..

Hi I've done a video on the head stock and often but it by feel ! , so only do one but up and tighten down then give it a turn left then right and from the wheel forwards and backwards till there's no movement but not over tight and then the other 2 nuts and that's always worked for me

+B Summers hi they say you have a bent crankshaft - really ok then well that's very had to do on a 2 t and something very big would of had to happen for that to happen!! , but I have video's on here ( over 30) on how to change it and other things - ok it's not a big job for me and I do show you how to do it but in time and the money( on a 2002) and with out seeing what else has happened maybe buying another bike maybe the way to go but more like piston as in all my days doing speedfight I have never seen a speedfight with a bent crank!!!! - hope that helps mate

Hello mate u still like me getting your hands dirty with speed fights ,I like the ac while u like the water cooled, anyway quick question ,I've replaced stator and Cdi and coil ,I've checked all parts work as on some speed fights they are the same so I know new parts work ,I still cannot get any spark, how it stopped sparking was I'd just Mot,d Peugeot ludix ac and my son was switching lights from low to high and it cut out and from that point I could not start it because no spark,is there a kill wire that's goes to Cdi that a can just pull out to see if that's the problem, I've gone thru all the wiring harness taking all insulation tape to make sure no bad wires and all is fine, I've tried another ignition switch but that could be had also ,any ideas mate.

hi Mark..question 4 u m8. my speedfight 2 had replacement shocks(after market) front and back a couple of years ago and recently i get a bit of a WOBBLE at the front. everything is nice and tight. could it be the cheap shocks are knackered again or could it be something else!!!! What shocks would you recommend, should i buy original parts... your videos have saved me so much money on repairs. Than you once again.
@marksavage5 жыл бұрын
Darren Harris it’s good to hear my videos help and there are 70 on speedfights As for your bike it’s not the shocks but more like 1 of a few things Buckled front wheel or uneven wear on the tyre Bent suspension arm as the twist due to being single arm Loose head stock but you say it all right ! Still worth a shake lol Give them a look at like in my other videos as it should be easy to see from the front Thanks for watching bud

i don't really know anyone who could fix it for me as iv just move down here from london. it's a shame you are not local to Dorset or I would ask you to have a look at it lol I think I'll just cut my losses and sell as spares and repairs thanks for your reply, all the best. P's could you recommend a good 125cc that can handle long distance like Weymouth to London 130 miles each way. thanks
@marksavage8 жыл бұрын
That's a bit of a way but if it was me and it had to be a 125 it would have to be a Honda Varadero they cost a bit but are really good size bikes and will last or Yamaha's / Suzuki geared bikes no Chinese maybe if a ped 125 a burgman or a x9 that's it bud

hi mark buddy engine all in and running I put a but petrol in tank with 2 stroke used easy start fired up right away seems to be ticking over ok so I stopped engine why it was warm and started it again it started I left it to cool down won't start unless I use easy start when it's cold is this just the 2 stroke maybe too rich or what would you say I will post a bid for you to watch
@marksavage8 жыл бұрын
Let it run go for a ride , if you mixed a bit of oil 2t in with the petrol that will make it harder so full it with fresh , if not could be elec choke make sure it's plugged in and working
