TMNT: The Last Ronin Animation

I'm making this for the amazing teenage mutant ninja turtles community and because I love the Turtles!
The last ronin is set in a future New York City where a lone surviving Turtle sets out on a seemingly hopeless mission to obtain justice for his dead family and friends. It's a comic book series written by the original creators of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird who are joined by writer Tom Waltz. I have been working a few month now, making one scene of that comic book series into an animation.
We are thrilled to have a platform such as KZbin so we can honor all people who have worked with the TMNT. The teenage mutant ninja turtles rocks!

I would love to see a tie-in that you could do with the release of the game. Now that the game is coming out, there needs to be a recognition for your work for providing the world a taste of what a team of people who love the source material and shows it in their work. I can definitely see a film being made. I know that's one I would purchase and want in my personal collection. As Al Pacino said in The Recruit, "I'm a scary judge of talent."

Mike is the youngest and was always the most talented of the turtles and his brothers always put themselves before him to make sure Mike was safe and now he's alone surrounded by enemies 😢

For some people who don't know, Michaelangelo was always the MOST naturally gifted Turtle. Splinter knew this and that's why he gave him the Nunchaku, the hardest weapon to master of all the other Turtles, to balance out his eagerness, comedic antics and overconfidence. Michaelangelo was never a leader or the strongest or most disciplined Turtle, but the most skillful. Of course, he would lose to Leonardo because Leo takes a fight serious and uses a lot of fight IQ to which Mikey is just more brash because of how he is. When you notice how when he fights he does so with absolute ease that he Adds his playful antics and clownish demeanor into his fighting because he just Can. He does things with his weapons that no other Turtle can do with theirs and does so very naturally even though you see how the other Turtles constantly train more than Mikey who just plays around. This is why when Mikey lost everything he became the most powerful Turtle. His happiness and everyone he loved was taken away. He had nothing left But to be serious and vengeful.

The Last Ronin is a really sad story honestly. It takes the happiest and most care free turtle of the four and has him become the only remaining survivor after a brutal loss. He ends up the most serious and straightforward turtle. The Last Ronin deserves a good film especially for such a huge point in the TMNT Multiverse. Mikey becoming the most serious turtle is a true sign that dark times have come.

Cap. It’s just the writer who decides who wins its ain’t nothing else. And honestly you could make the last ronin any one of the turtles. Donnie relys on his tech too much and not himself, his brothers die and become one with the mountain. If Raph is the last one, his anger clouds his judgement he either loses it when his brothers get killed or his anger is the reason his brothers died and he has to go through tribulations and deal with the anger. And my personal opinion, it should have been Leo. He deals with that fear CONSTANTLY, losing his brothers, leading them into their deaths, if he can’t make the right choices or they leave. And Leo being the warrior, the ninja, the leader, it makes him most likely to become the most powerful being in that universe.

I thinks it’s actually extremely smart of the writers to make Mikey the last survivor since it gives him far more character development than the others for sure. I mean he’s the least experienced and the least powered up of all the turtles and has the most to loose emotionally. The others always had some edge to them already present. Also it sets him up to be a crazy forerunner to the turtles considering he is the last one he can surpass them greatly now

Mikey wasn't the least experienced of all the turtles, he was just more laid back in terms of training. Splinter giving him nun-chucks proves he was very talented and well-trained, as those weapons are harder to master. His fun, party dude attitude made him more chill than his brothers, plus as the youngest of the turtles, he always had their protection, but only now, alone, does he show how much he's grown.

@Don Julio To tell you the truth, I've never seen or read The Last Ronin but from what I understood, it was Michael Angelo as the last Turtle as opposed to Leonardo. Leonardo trained his whole life for that role whereas Michael Angelo, the party guy, was thrust into it. That's what makes the story more impactful.

It's breathtaking how realistic this looks! The voice acting is incredibly well executed, character designs/models are appealing and realistic but not so much where it's a walking nightmare. Location is omnibus and gloomy, making it feel tragic. And the dark tone of the setting over the build up of emotion from the Last Ronin, where he can hear his brothers in his head makes it feel so earned. Honour is also a very present and accruing theme and that's something that the turtles should be known for. Even when it comes down to taking one's own life. Better to die by your own blade than by the hands of your enemy. I mean it really isn't, but who am I to judge the methods of ninjutsu. I've never done it. And I agree with everyone else in the comments saying that this should be a full on blockbuster movie. A movie length film like this would be a god blessing for both the turtles, the world and us humans. But it's still perfect as it is with it's short length. Well done! 😌👌

Raph was always my favourite and at first I was thinking he should of been the last ronin. Then I realised that the trauma of losing your family could change you, from having the most care free, happy go lucky personality, to only wanting revenge, was the perfect story arc. All he ever cared about was eating pizza....with no anchovies.

It's hard to see my favorite of the Ninja Turtles be so cold and unlike his cheerful, goofy prankster self. Mikey was always so happy and quick to crack a joke, often at Raph's expense. To see Leo, Raph and Donnie's chief weapons laying in front of Mikey, alongside his nunchucks, then to see Mikey use one of Leo's shattered swords to commit suicide is tragic.

Everything about this is perfect. The echoes of the empty sewer, Mikey's facial expressions and his broken voice, the music kicking in when you see the weapons of his dead brothers laid out on the floor. You can just feel his pain and isolation. And then there's the beautiful animation. Incredible atmosphere and textures. It's so cool to see the comic book artwork brought to life so faithfully with such hyperrealism. If there were ever to be a new TMNT series or movie, THIS is how it should be done.

@@J33p3rzz2crxzy yes, that animation is based on "the last ronin" comics, basically telling the story of "what if every ninja turtle and their father died besides Mickey, it's technically a reveal in the story but it's obvious from the beginning since it makes me sense regarding story telling (aka the "younger" / funny one has to revenge his brothers and for that need to loose Innocence, makes it more emotional and deep) I'm not a big ninja turtle fan but honestly those comics were golden

In the very first TMNT comic, the turtles gave the shredder the opportunity to commit Seppuku, but he refused and instead forsaked his honor for one last attempt at killing his foes. All these decades later, the last remaining turtle will not stoop to the level of his worst enemies and stands by his life principles to the literal end.
