People who come up with these narratives such as "Building AI Souls with Personality" are also the kind of people who will not shut down their product even when it clearly causes harm to consumers in some non-obvious way they can't think of right now. Because who would want to turn off an "AI with a soul"? Nobody would want to turn off an "AI with a soul" despite the misalignments with humans I'm not saying their product is harming consumers right now but if it does, good luck in convincing yourself about the reality because you have accepted this crazy narrative. Very irresponsible thing to do and shows poor leadership, same as the Effective Altruism guys.
