So in San Andreas there is no way of duping a mission multiple times? Why duping isn't used before? Nothing like the stadium to reset the on_mission flag? Sorry for the (probably simple) questions, I'm not a speedruner, but I enjoy watching them, mostly Vice City, and things there seem to be a little bit different.

izimsi there's no rampages in this game so you can only dupe a mission twice as far as we know. Also there is a stadium in Los Santos but you need driving skill to use it, and grinding driving skill is much slower than just doing the missions normally

There actually is a way to dupe Wrong Side Of The Tracks in Los Santos, it involves your girlfriend and it's pretty complicated and unreliable, so most runners don't use it even if it saves i think 1 minute.

I'm aware, and it saves 2 minutes. I didn't mention it because it isn't really relevant to the question since as you said nobody actually uses it due to it being (probably) frame perfect

You can dupe missions more than 2 times. Everything you need is the right setup, that cannot be always done. For example some speedrunners do a 3 instances of Monster. LS missions duping would involve going into stadium, and you actually lack driving skill then. During the speedruns players tend to visit driving school to boost up the driving skill.

I don't get why during Bloodring the OnMission variable was 0. When does ot get set to 0? The mission didn't fail and the phone wasn't hung up.

What exactly happens at 5:05 that makes ON_MISSION go from 0 to 1 to 0? If you enter the bloodbowl mission, I understand it would change to 1. But why does it immediately go back to 0? Is it because the phone call ended? But if the call ended, how are you able to hold the call after ending the bloodbowl mission?

So you are standing in the marker and holding esc, the phone call comes in and it is now $on_mission 1. Then the bloodbowl mission starts and the phonecall is dropped putting you back to $on_mission 0. Then at 5:45 , you are holding tab, the phonecall comes in and is held which puts you in $on_mission 1, then the bloodbowl mission fails, finally putting you back to $on_mission 0 with a held phonecall that you can use to dupe a mission. Hope that makes sense.

Some missions can't be duped (the game crashes or softlocks), and in Los Santos the stadium is unaccessible with low driving skill.

A majority of Vice City's duping uses the replay system, so not quite. However, phone calls in Vice City operate the same way. The only difference is you can't skip them.

No PC Only. PS4 Uses the PS2 Version and there you can't do pause buffering, which is very important for duping.
