As a chess player I can definitely submit to the "death loop". Once one thing goes horribly wrong, it's usually just a trainwreck of things going wrong after that and as if by magic, everything your opponent does, just works against you and you collapse and lose.

I dont see people talk about the music in GPW2 much. It's incredible. If this were an actual SNES release it'd have gone down as a Top 3 game for music. Love Marathon and Murkwood themes especially!

I'm glad there's some competition for GDQ. It sucks only having the one big event, and honestly GDQs aren't what they were. They've gone safe and corporate, and are far less fun as a result. Don't get me wrong, there's still lots of great runs on there, and hopefully not having a monopoly on these things will shake things up a little. Good job Mr Poo Bear.

That end bowser is still the best 2d boss I've seen in any game. My only gripe is for bowser to have more variation per each attack. Less memorizing, more fun. (Throw block on a random spot of the pillar instead of always top; more environmental effects instead of only ice; shell could be a spiny with a death timer until it becomes throwable/dead; maybe swap the vertical fire balls [From vanilla bowser fight] with a fishing boo that can bring powerups or hazards; bowser can unleash a shockwave with his slam occasionally to push the player away a block.)
