Speedrunning Mindscape as Bean the Dynamite (except for Phase 3) - 08'06"35

Okay so, shortly after the release of the Bomb video I wanted to try beating this as Bean the Dynamite instead. It took me so many attempts that I ended up learning new tricks along the way.
Unfortunately, those first recordings are lost, and since the fun part of these previous videos was showing off the many failed attempts, I felt like I couldn't keep the spirit of the previous videos now that I have figured out a consistent way to beat the level.
My last choice was to turn this into a speedrun video, so I tried over and over again until I recorded a pb time I'm happy with... so here it is!
Of course Phase 3 can't be beaten with anyone besides Inazuma, so the run only goes up to the end of Phase 2, but y'know, it's still something!

Worth mentioning I'm not much of a speedrunner, I suck at being precise, and there's definitely ways to go faster than this. But this is one of the few times the RNG in Facciolo's Second Phase was somewhat nice to me, so I decided to upload this. Also if any of you know a way to make the recordings look better please tell me 😭

With how many characters are actually able to beat this zone, (minus the final phase exclusive to Inazuma himself) Astra should update it not only to be available in record attack, but that when accessed this way, the timer ends on the final hit of phase 2.

@@bluequacker well, in the vanilla game, all the boss levels in the game during record attack end a short bit after the last hit. Usually when the boss starts to fly away. So by that logic, there should be a way to use that same programming on the phase 2 end.

1:11 I was stuck on this part with Bean, how did make the three bombs instantly explode below you? (Also nice run)

Holding jump and then pressing spin (while being on the ground and against a wall) allows you to use the three bombs twice, which gets you enough height to get to the bridge. This trick doesn't work if done mid-air, btw.

You can make it to the bridge without using this bug, but it's way harder and more time consuming lol
