Not saying zylenox is bad (hes litteraly the record holder), but if an experiencend runner had a seed like that and didnt choke, they wouldve probably have a shot at the record. As he mentioned, he was on pace the first two runs when entering the end.

​@kkonutz_ it depends on what you mean by "experienced," but there are very few people that would have a chance at beating zylenox on the same seed. Beating 8:15 on this seed is definitely easier (30 extra seconds will do that), but getting a 7:45 on this seed when you don't know anything about it beforehand requires next-level skill that probably less than 10 runners in the world actually have (not to mention the rng factors like fast trades, flint luck, blaze rates, and perch that you would need as well)

I'm saying that he so deserve this, bc i know that Zylenox was going for WR only, and he got it some time later. Most of WRs had happened accidentally. There is huge difference between going for WR and getting it accidentally. I saw a RSG WR with player nearly died to blaze with fire resistance. You're saying "If didnt choke" and that maters a lot. Zylenox didn't choke, bc of his experience in speedrunning. There is huge difference between finishing a run bc of luck and finishing the run bc of skill. And, lol, first you need for success in SRing is just play. Not many SRers are playing much now.

So, it took Couriway over 60 attempts to speedrun this exact same seed and break the world record. You did it in EIGHTEEN. REK, YOU LEGEND

tbf couriway was resetting way more than he needed to to beat the time, like he was resetting when he missed like a single jump, or got a bad spawn, or when he messed up the stupidly complicated 2x1 magma portal that he was trying to do, or when he reset every time he didn't loot the bt perfectly. all of those resets only saved like 3 seconds max, but i think he was sorta trying to go for the fastest time possible on the seed/trying to beat zylenox by as much time as possible. that doesnt stop rek from being cracked tho 😎

Zylenox literally beat this seed randomly on his first try, not knowing anything about it, when both Rek and Couri needed more than a dozen tries just to beat it. To me, that is insanely impressive. Also, they were playing it as SSG, and didn't need to do mapless, find the stronghold, etc, whereas Zylenox did.

Hey Rek, im a Crystal pvp player and I wanna give you a tip about that, when you put 1 glowstone in an anchor you can switch to something else, like a sword or block (as long as its not glowstone) then it will explode. Might save you half a second in some run so wanted to let you know! Love the vids btw!

Hey rek! I know you probably won’t read this but I have seen how well you’ve gotten at speedrunning!! Can you please post a full tutorial about how you speedrun, like the 15 Minecraft’s at once, how you find chests, how you build the portal under water, how you find the bastion, fortress, strong hold and both 0-cycle and 1-cycle! Thanks if you do!! and the different type of bastions where gold is and how to identify them

There are already tutorials for each individual thing that you listed here, i'll list them below. I do agree that it would be nice to have a complete guide though. - 15 minecrafts at once: This is a macro called "The wall", and there are 2 main ways of setting it up (one is a ahk script and the other one is a java app). Draconix6 has a tutorial on how to setup the java wall (recommended) and Specnr has a tutorial on how to setup the ahk wall (breaks often, hard to setup) - How to find chests: I assume you are referring to the buried treasure at the start. This is a strat called Mapless. I'd recommend watching the tutorials by both Penney and MoleyG - How to build the portal underwater: Watch k4yfour's speedrun setup guide, he covers how to make magma and lava portals there. - How to find the bastion: This is a strat called E-raying (or microlensing), k4yfour has a guide on it - How to find the fortress: k4 also has a tutorial on this, the strat is called Pie-dar - How to find the stronghold: Rek used a calculator here called Ninjabrain bot, I think Four has a tutorial on how to set it up. - Zero cycle: Can't remember any tutorials for this but there are bound to be ones - One cycle: k4 covers this in his setup tutorial. - Bastion types: k4 has some beginner routes on his channel, i'd recommend learning these If you have spare time I highly recommend watching top runners on twitch, such as zylenox, doogile and silverruns. It actually helps a ton. I also highly recommend joining the minecraft java speedrunning discord (javacord), they have all the tutorials you will ever need here and you can ask questions if you need help on anything.
