I'm not too sure that anyone will care that much, but the translation for the wood eating bugs in ILLBLEED says they eat only slightly rotten and/or soft wood. It's been a while, but the generality is that it's not eating the kind of wood that the Wood Puppets are made of.

I'll always have a soft spot for Illbleed. It's just so unrelentingly weird and stream of consciousness as a game, and there's never been anything like it before or since. Which is both a shame, and probably for the best.

Illbleed is the best DC game and one of the best video games ever made imo. Love it! it needs to be ported to modern consoles. To see punchy running it is a plus. that dude is the best speedrunner in terms of his ability to give the runs great commentary.

Can we talk about how these shotgun shell harnesses absolutely would not work though? The construction of a gun is a requirement for the weapon to be effective, just blowing up the ammo won't do much since the sides of the shell are made of plastic and won't effectively direct the force of the explosion. I still wouldn't particularly want to have a shell blow up next to my skin, but it absolutely would not have anywhere near the effect of firing an actual shotgun. Not to mention that the mass of the buckshot between the exploding gunpowder and the blasting cap would actually weigh more than the thin metal in the cap, so the cap would fly away faster than the buckshot would fly in. I think we're looking at some burn marks, stippling, and bruising but the buckshot may not even penetrate the skin in this setup.
