Am I the only one confused about the Sailor Moon comparison? I've played the Clock Tower series, and yes, the third is in fact hugely different so it should have had a completely different name, but Capcom thought they could sell copies for the name. Unfortunately no.

Well the whole "spiritual/magic powers that only teen girls possess" is a trope heavily tied to magical girls shows, then there is also the the part where she uses her magical bow to unleash holy light of ultimate doom on her evil foes... It's not exactly Sailor Moon but since it's the most famous representative of the battle magical girl genre I can definitely see the joke. What makes it really funny to me is how distinct it is from most of the game's ambiance, like I know a lot of the lore revolves around it but considering actual screen time, 90%+ of the game is spent as a classical defenseless and terrified girl trying to survive in a dark and horrific world, and then boom you get to go full power ranger and unleash divine retribution on the bad guys, with explosions and everything. The first time it happens it's so weird and unexpected... that's such a japanese move it's hilarious!
