You might want to inform your viewers what a Speed Twin motorcycle is, for context. I'm a V-Strom & Burgman 400 rider & I've no clue. A chain to belt conversion sounds interesting though. Cheers - David in Texas

Belts last 50k+ miles. No cleaning/lube. Bike stays cleaner. No chain noise. Only check belt tension about every 5k miles or maybe once a year. Triumph owners manual says that the drive chain needs to be cleaned and lube every 200miles, I usually do it every 500miles and if really lazy every 1k miles. That is a lot of time/effort over the course of 50k miles. Plus chain/sprockets only last 20k miles. Only do this if you are keeping the bike long term to make it at least pay for itself.

I used to have a 2002 Triumph Trophy 1200 a few years ago. The manual recommended an engine oil change every 10,000 kilometres, and lube the chain every 300 kilometres. Which means for the duration of one engine oil change, you have to lube the chain at least 33 times minimum. Take into account that dirt will accumulate on the chain and sprockets, and if you get caught out in the rain even more dirt on the chain. You constantly have to buy aerosol products to clean your chain and lubricant it. Those products cost you a fortune over the life span of a chain, plus your time taken up doing this. I would rather be riding than being a money / time slave to a chain. I have 2 shaft drive bikes, and if I bought a chain driver bike, I would put this kit on for sure. Motorcycles that come from the factory with belt drive, are very low to practically no maintenance requirements. How do you want to spend your time and money with your bike?
