Perhaps a walk through of what was production vs what was race parts. Would be interesting to know the differences and why they were needed. Awesome stress test for the Speed UTV!

How cool father and son living out their dreams while racing their own cars that has Can am and RZR so concerned.
@gary3046 Жыл бұрын
These are niche cars; I doubt that Can Am and Polaris are too concerned. It will be nice when (if?) owners actually get their cars after waiting nearly 3 years.

Interesting as they all three had 999 cc motors for class originally. I think Pro R went to 1300 or 1400 cc 4 cylinder. Gordon says he’ll drop a V8 LS7 in a limited run of cars at 700 horsepower. The classes have to have rules or they will be like 1 cars and trophy trucks imho. Are they 999cc or open?

@@gary3046 you go out and build race production cars, and come to me with a finished product in 3 years please 😊

@@darrellhiatt1719I think the new pro r is a 2 liter. 2000cc. While the x3 is still a 900cc motor. I would hate to see how long it would take robbie to deliver those LS model speed utv's.😬

@@R.D.K608 I think the car ( 8th Mint 400 stock) n LS 7 (ZR6 Corvette motor)is developed from history. I dont like how you use the word “hate”- who does but snowflakes? Sad actually. Open class is open per can-am n Polaris- hence LS7. I’m not a fan, but promoters allowing it appears. So why not a big fat LS7 ? Why spend energy on Hate? How about being pro American with “bring on competition so we stay #1”? Your boy Biden doing a # on us - hater. But always, have a a good day.

Such an awesome video, I have high hopes for speed. I hope there west coast style cars sell good so they can start producing east coast style cars. I was a huge fan of robbys work on the wild Cat xx and I hope he produces a 64 inch wide car for us east coasters

Awesome video and recap. It sounds like there is a lot to address unfortunately. This car should be able to travel this course for 2000 miles without fail realistically.

Yeah, that's not how racing works.

@@SpeedUTV I hate to say it but my old 2017 RZR has over 3000 miles on it and no part has ever failed. I have taken my car through the snow in the mountains, on a race course and jumped it as fast as I could at Hang Town for about 30 minutes at a time, been through the dunes at Pismo, climbed the biggest mountains at Walker River, and went through miles of whoops, rocks, and washes in NV, northern Ca, and Havasu. I have never bent a suspension part, broken an axle, belt, etc. My car has always gotten me home. Comparing my suspension the the Speed Car, there should be no reason that a lower a-arm fails like it did in this race on your car unless, 1) it was wrecked, 2) inferior materials and/or welding process, or 3) the car is too heavy for the design. I am a fan of Speed, I love the car, but I need to know that when I go on a ride, it’s going to get me home. One thing I would suggest, is that you adapt a higher-lever Quality Assurance Management system such as ISO-9001. Your competitor, Polaris is currently certified to this standard. From the looks of the cars delivered so far, there isn’t a good QA program in place. Door latches not adjusted properly, peeling decals, marred suspension components from tooling, etc. Again, I want Speed to kick some ass and it is a heck of a car.
