English at the end. Was geht da ab in den letzten Jahren bitte ?
What's going on in the last few years please? Did riders like Ove Fundin, Barry Briggs, Ole Olsen, Ivan Mauger, Erik Gundersen, Hans Nielsen, Toni Rickardson have no idea how to handle a speedway bike? Hey people yourself, at the risk of being declared a saying maker again, I'll give you a few things to take with you. If you don't even know how to spell steering geometry, weight shifting (balance) and traction, you should keep reading. It took me years to improve my riding style year after year to beat the best in the world. The experiences and combinations of different long-grass and speedway lanes were the basis to become one of the best balance experts. And now you start because someone had the idea to turn a speedway rider into a circus acrobat (but looks cool). The contortions on the motorcycle slow down the development of speed and traction enormously. The motorcycle has to run as little as possible without drifting in the curve. To learn this technique, the first thing you have to do is try to put as much weight on the rear wheel as possible. And the only way to do that is to put pressure on the right footpeg and get your body as close to the rear axle as possible. Take a look at the Team World Championships in Olching back then ( KZbin ) and you'll see what I'm talking about. One of the first who noticed something and is slowly bringing his riding style in my direction is the small, fast Pole B.S. And again, have fun with this wonderful sport.
