I love the sound of silver. I'm canadian and I love all our pre 67 silver as its all 80 % and if its before 1920 its sterling .925 canada is not as old as the states but we made silver coins for a bit longer than the usa. In the states Pre64 its 90% then they started making 40% Kennedy halves till a certain year but here its 80% till 66 then in 67 only the silver dollar and half dollar were 80% but all the circulating dimes and quarters of that year are 50 percent silver. Only proofs of dimes and quarters are 80 percent silver in 1967. Then in 68 at some point they used cupro nickel to make the quarter and dime. Take a magnet to a 1968 and if it sticks its not silver. If not its 50%. Its almost impossible to tell the difference between a 1967 dime or quarter seeing as both the 80% and 50% have the exact same weight. Most dealers sell them as 65 % silver. Love the channel.

I lucked out with a half bag of half dollars purchased in 2013. It was a mix of Kennedy’s Franklins and Walkers. I wanted to see what my 1917 D would fetch. About $25 I was told. But I had a few early dated walkers to show a dealer at a coin show this past summer including a 1921 S. I am no expert on walkers but he gave me $50 for it. Could I have made more money on this pretty worn coin? Sure. But I will take that 600% gain all day long

I am a hard-core "sound money" guy and believe in gold and silver… and I own a lot of ounces… 500 ounces of silver which I bought with today's equivalent of $2.5 million in bitcoin. The lesson is you have to be diversified and invest for the long term, which is more than the next 5 years. Going all in on metal is not the smart thing to do, because you absolutely will NOT get rich or retire on it. it will PRESERVE what you invest in the long-term, but it won't fund your retirement. Oh, and gold diversification using your IRA is just throwing away money because they are selling you gold at around a $200 per ounce premium, minimum, which is ridiculous. There are better ways to buy or invest..

Ya but we're not coin shops, if you buy it's for a vig or you don't buy, if we buy or sell it's for a vig or we don't buy or sell; so we're kind of at the shops mercy and can't identify with the will of a financial captor like that. Am I glad coin shops exist, sure I am, when it's good for me to be; which is not all the time. Sometimes it's okay to feel nothing, or feel neutral. Don't feel negative though that can effect your heart and your health.

Mama Mia, that dang digital crap is now $98,500…still don’t trust it at all, but boy do I wish I bought ONE, just so I could dump it now. Could have easily turned that profit (after taxes) into a dozen to 15 ounces of Gold. Heading back to $2,800, then $3,000 after that.
