I have the IX12 AND Tom says in the lite ver. Won't work, is that only for telemetry? Full and lite ver both have the screen and the plug for the cable on the bottom

Hi. I want to come back to spektrum after prity much been forced to use a tarris for my mini quads before spektrum surported crossfire. They only thing I want to keep is the ability for my TX to read out and warn me when my battery has used all its MAH so i know when to land. Not low vollage warning as that can be set off during heavy throttle use. Is this possibe on the ix12... also is it possible on any other of the currant spektrum TXs? Thanks for any help

Either will work, depends on your setup. 12 Ch mode has higher latency.

Can you plug a lipo into the crossfire to power it even though it’s plugged in and serial port power 9.5 V is selected?

4 years too late lol, but yes. The crossfire will take the higher voltage. So a 3s lipo plugged in will be used first until its below 9.5v, then it would switch to using the serial port

Is it possible to show both RSSI and LQ on the IX12 Telemetry Dashboard? I am using SBUS due to compatibility with an older quad/FC. Hence I'm not utilising the full benefits of the CRSF protocol. I have the micro Rx in the Vortex 250 Pro.

Hi I have the exact sane setup, Ix12 , Crossfire, Opterra s+ but can get the opterra to set home with the Home button. I press and hold Like I used to do when using spektrum receiver but it don't do anything. Any help on how to properly setup crossfire with the opterra?

Can I use this cable (customize it to fit) with my dragon link long range transmitter? If so which external transmitter do I choose in the menu? I am not interested in getting any kind of telemetry just a radio link.

How do you get above 500mw and how is the external battery port used on the crossfire? Do you have to turn off the 9.5v port in the radio to plug in the external battery on the crossfire?

Hi Bruce. To get more then 500mw you will need to use the xt30 port. The crossfire does automatically switch to it when you plug in power thru that port, even when the power is plugged into another port. Hope that helps!

I just come from dx6 to dx9 to get full support for my Crossfire but I realize that telemetry does not work despite the use of serial port. A little effort, Spektrum, you can do it, dx9 is a great radio and I do not understand this limitation !

@@kiks64k82 Well you really don't need telemetry if you have a OSD. I made the same switch from my DX6 to DX9 so I could run crossfire as well 👍

@@smooth_ops2942 Could you please elaborate on this? I have the DX9 and am looking to install crossfire on it, but have just learnt that there is no telemetry available. Especially when you need to know signal strength

@@jakeboynz You don't need telemetry to be sent back to the crossfire module to get LQ, well since the crossfire rx is connected to the FC by your TX and RX UART you just setup your FC's osd to show you LQ by assigning AUX 8 in the receiver tab to RSSI as well as enable RSSI in the osd. Then on the crossfire module itself you have to go to channel output and assign channel 8 to output LQ or channel 12.... If it shows up as 49% in the osd change 8 to 12 or vice versa in the module.

I’ve had flight controllers (BetaFlight mostly, but also iNav) connected via CrossFire and tried “Auto-Config”, assuming that was used to detect data packets in the same manner I’ve seen on other brands of radios, but it didn’t detect anything other than RX voltage (which is sort of bogus anyway since it’s just reading 5V off the regulator) and I wasn’t able to put anything else on my telemetry dashboard. This is what I did with a Spektrum receiver and FlightOne and it worked great, but not with CeossFire. Is there something I’m missing to get more data? Do I need to do anything to detect what telemetry is being received, or to display what alarms I can set or what I can put on the dashboard? Thanks!

Hi Frank, If you have done everything in this video, it might be that your cable from your iX12 to your Module is wired improperly. Was it DIY?
