5:00 Interesting, although I would do the opposite, low rates high throttle, high rates low throttle. Thanks for the lesson

For some planes what you do is appropriate - for example a ducted fan jet which doesn't have propwash going over control surfaces. And, for any particular model, it's very much a personal preference. For me, I Iike smooth, easy to control movements when taking off or landing. With high rates it's too easy for the plane to twitch around with over-control movements. My low rates are very much scale like control movements, which work well. My high rates are for doing extreme aerobatic movements. Having said that, I got caught out recently having my rates set to low on a new Great Planes Decathlon, which resulted in a crash. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/enSZoH2mr9Jsebs

@@RCJim Thanks for the reply. these two switch menus isn't something I've played with, found your video helpful understanding it. but yes makes sense. I was thinking of higher speed planes. I often use mid or gigh rates for take off and landing, low rates at high speed.

Understood. Makes sense for that sort of plane.

I assume you could set up the analog throttle switch to select different flight modes so that you could have different AS3X gains based on throttle position.

Hi Brian, yes, that's a thought.

Hi Jim Do you have a tutorial on setting the selected fail safe positions? I have not been able to program selected fail safe on separate channels
@RCJim10 ай бұрын
Failsafe features are on receivers and ESC's. The ones on receivers are what can set failsafe control positions for times when the signal is lost. Most ESC's will have a failsafe that cuts the throttle if there is no throttle signal from the receiver, but it obviously cannot control what happens to control surfaces. With a Flysky radio, the receiver settings are set through the transmitter, but it's still the receiver that is doing the work. For several Spektrum receivers there are a variety of ways to set failsafe control positions. I'll do a video on this in due course.

What if you put a rotory analog switch in place of digital toggle switch? Can that be configured?
@RCJim5 ай бұрын
Analog switch setup would allow you to configure a rotary knob to a digital output, but most likely you would simply be assigning the knob to a channel. You would do that for continuous fine adjustment of flaps or airbrakes, etc.

What do you do when it freezes up on power up and just shows the logo on the screen? Unplugged the battery and nothig changed. Not happy with the NX10.

Sounds like a firmware glitch. For a start I would disconnect the battery, and check the voltage. Then plug it back in and see if it works. If that doesn't do it, try providing power to it via the USB. If still no joy, get in touch with Spektrum customer service.
