Such a pretty card... I didn't think I'd like the soft colors (and know I would have never thought of using them), but when it all come together, it's lovely and elegant. You could take some of those left-over strips (or create new ones in a 3rd and/or 4th color) and inter-weave them too which would create another design all together... so many possibilities... great idea to keep the strips.
