Why use Tainted scepter over combustion? Only their Grux had healing right? Dont those 2 do pretty much the same

No not at all. Combustion gives u 300 max mana, 10 magic penetration, and 70 magic power. While Tainted Scepter gives you 15 ability haste, 200 max heatlh, and 70 magic power. now tainted is significantly better because it deals true damge. True damage cannot be mitigated by armor. On the other hand, combustion can be mitigated and deal less damage if the person has magic armor. Also, Tainted Scepter is based on stacks that you gain for each second that passes. Now even if you have 4 stacks it will still do some true damage. not as much if it was at the max stacks (15), but still damage. With combustion you have a cooldown on it, so even if it did 10 more damage than tainted scepter at max stacks (which it doesn't because of magic armor), you have at least 10 - 15 second cooldown before it procs again. It's a range because the other passive of combustion reduces the cooldown of the bonus damage by 0.5 seconds when attacking heroes. So when taking in the compound effect, you will do more damage over time over the course of a game because of the stacks and true damage. AND YOU GET ANTI HEAL on tainted scepter
