Armadyl btw. With all the people asking me how train ranged with the AFK method from last video, I decided to upload this so you can get 99 ranged the most AFK way possible. Expect 65k xp an hour with 5 hour trip times. You will be able to afk for 15-20 minutes at a time. 25k arrows got me from 94-99 ranged, which means 1-99 ranged could literally cost you around 5m with todays prices. @@Spellsey As a textbook busy scaper I find myself when trying to do non-combat skills either doing something slightly afk but super slow and no money or drop tons of money for fast exp but super click intensive or maybe something decent exp and little money but I cant leave for more than like 30 seconds. I usually only have time to actively play 1-2 hours a day, but with the remote in app tip i've been able to AFK 14-16 hours a day with these methods. These NMZ AFK videos have been a godsend for someone that works 10 hours a day, thanks Spellsey! 99 str, atk, def and HP achieved. Now working on range before magic. For anyone using this method now, you can now easily get over 100k xp an hour from 80 range with venator bow and rune arrows, and possibly without rock cake / orb depending on your defence. Appreciate the bow is very expensive but could be sold after 99 is achieved. My set up is: Archer helm Necklace of anguish Ava's accumulator Saradomin d'hide body Obsidian platelegs Dragon boots Saradomin bracers Archers ring (i) Venator bow Rune arrows Range level: 82 I'm sure there are more efficient set ups, but using those items I found I could get around 105k XP an hour while AFKing for 15 minutes a time, and also avoid using a rock cake / orb to reduce health, similar to how I trained melee. This was a massive bonus for me, because using the rock cake made it less AFK. Big caveat - my defence is 99, so I am not sure how well it would work for lower levels and lowering health might still be needed. Also, I know you can get much higher XP rates using venator on hard mode with void, but it is a lot less AFK. This was my happy balance. Any tips please let me know!

as of march 2022, I decided to go with veracs helm, ancient body, chaps and boots, barrows gloves, archer ring (not imbued yet), MSBI and rune arrows, with an anguish necklace. You do not need to use a rock cake or locator orb (I am at 85 defense) as you will survive the full 6 hours. I'm getting 54k xp an hour right now at 82 range. Hitting the special attack here and there as you pot up (every 19 minutes is what I do) for some additional xp gains. at two 6 hour sessions this will average about 648k xp per day, if you do 15 hours that will net 810k xp in a day. Repair your helmet at your POH rinse and repeat. Again I am at 82 range so as you increase in level the xp per hour will as well. I went ahead and purchased 100k rune arrows for 55gp a piece for a total of 5.5m. This will get you 82-99 range in estimated 13 days. Also as of now I am averaging around 20-21k points per hour, with 6 ranging potions you will need exactly 88 absorption potions. costing 88k points (I purchased my ranging pots at the ge 500gp a piece) You will make around 38k points per 6 hour trip after expenses. I used your strength guide to get to 99 btw!

I found your video about strength and have since 99'd att, str, def, and HP. Now working on ranged and am 93. Great guides! My ranged setup differs a tad to emphasis defense bonus. I go with blessed d'hide chest and legs. Peg. Boots, barrows gloves, magic shortbow(i), amethyst arrows instead of rune, and then a fury for the defense and range bones, a ring of suffering(i), and the really weird piece....a justiciar face guard. The justice helmet only has -2 ranged attack and huge defensive bonus. I've found that setup to net me the same 65-70k/hr you got but is much better for tanking the hits which means you don't need to worry about conserving your absorptions with the 1hp trick as much. Also I use overload instead of ranging pot. It gives the same ranging bonus with a big defense bonus as well. Honestly don't know what the range or mage pots are for when overload does the same thing but gives a defensive bonus as well. Anyways, awesome guide! As mentioned by someone else I'd second his comment about a busy-scape series that focuses more on AFK skilling at the expense of exp/hr

For the record. Pro tip. Like a dunderhead, I spent all my NMZ points on past items. I am coming back to OSRS after a break. If you have no NMZ points, use/buy prayer pots, (protect from Melee, against the quest bosses etc.) until you farm enough NMZ points for the absorptions. If you guys can afford prayer/pots, (or have a high enough herb level to make them yourself), and have high prayer so your prayer last longer to gather points etc. If not, oh dear. lol. But supposing you do. That's a workaround/way to get more points. I also recommend Monkey Madness chinning on the side, but it's not afk like NMZ. Great video. :)

its not going to trigger a bot detection, that system is based off of similar mouse movements and clicks. you're still uniquely acting with the game at a random interval and a random position on the screen. I've literally NMZed this way for 40m+ total xp. It's perfectly safe and not against the rules

This was an amazing guide. I have gone from 72-97 range in less than 2 weeks!! Although, I did just realize something that would have been a little helpful to know. It’s actually about 7-10k more experience if you add in the witch’s experiment, slaglith, and the nazastarool. There’s another way to keep the hp at 1 with ranged. You must drop yout HP all the way to 1 with either the rock cake, or thé locator orb. So every 10 sec you must activate and dehactivate that pray which doubles the hp regen.

If you have higher def I'd recommend switching to Hard Mode with the same bosses. Get about 10k more xp per hour and the points returned is higher than absorbs used.

don't pick up arrows. Get Ava's devices (check the wiki). You can get the first and second level REALLY easily.

I looked into this after your latest video, and you don’t actually need to get your hp down 1 to train Range/Mage with this method. Because these bosses have low defense, your accuracy remains fine even if you wear a more tankey (mixed) gear.

Yep I got my 99 range with this method during coronavirus: working on my company laptop while afking with this method on my own laptop. With full normal void, glory, magic shortbow and rune arrow I am getting 65k xp/hr near the end.

@@extinctionistrecordsblackm6380 0. You actually profit from NMZ because of herb boxes. Rune arrows are 48kgp/hr loss. Herb boxes 15/day= 186k gp/day. If you do more than 4 hours/day you lose money only for that day but in the long term you get it back. If not buying herb boxes though it's 7-9 M gp in rune arrows for 80-99.

@@extinctionistrecordsblackm6380 Consider you are using magic short bow with Ava's accumulator and does not pick up any dropped arrows, you will loss in average around 420 arrows per hour. From 80 to 99 you need about 11M xp, if you get 65k xp/hr it gonna take around 170 hours to grind. This adds up to 71400 arrows lost in total. Rune arrow is about 85gp right now so you lost in total 6M to get from lv80 to 99. This does not include herb boxes profit though whcih can help minimize the lose. Hope that helps!

If you wanna save on that electricity bill or your laptop battery life, you can use a feature on Runelite called "FPS Control", and just limit your FPS to a really low number (I find anywhere from 4-10 works) and it drastically reduces the amount of CPU power that your computer/laptop uses.

real talk, getting 70 isn't so bad. I was I believe 58, I went and knocked out my Rogue set and did some stuff for ardy medium cape then just used some FC called thievinghost I believe to find worlds that have an ardy knight lured. Put on a dodgy necklace and have 3 or 4 in your inventory with a bunch of jugs of wine and set NPC attack option to hidden. If you have your camera facing I believe it's west and if the other people aren't brain dead, you can 1 click it. If you look into it you can even find a method where you hold down your inventory hotkey and make it flick open and closed and line up the spot that coin pouches with the ardy knight, when spam clicking you'll click both the coin pouches as they're appearing and ardy knights. If you only got 1 screen as well like I do you can also just shrink your client screen down along side your internet browser and just squeeze whatever you're watching on the side, it legit took me a few hours to get 58 - 70 thieving then I just +5 boosted it, though honestly with how simple it is I'd recommend just get 75 since you need 80 for an elite diary anyways.

So, I just did this for fremminik diary and western diary, and...I promise you it is well worth to do pyramid plunder instead of afk'ing ardy knights. Scrounge up 5.5mil, buy a pharoh's sceptre (You'll sell it back when you're done, so it's not like it's money down the drain) and wear dueling rings to bank. The equipment you need for PP is super cheap and every 20-30 runs you'll get a sceptre that sells for 5.5 mil. I did this from 61 to 72 thievng and made 22 mil gp. Literally doubled my bank. it's also super fast exp and far less annoying than any other thieving method imo.

Important question regarding absorption ticks: how can you efficiently afk without constantly prayer flicking rapid heal to stay at 1hp? Otherwise, you lose absorption at a significantly higher rate and can't stay in the room nearly as long. Or am I overlooking something?

Nothing you can really do. Just make sure you're on normal with the right bosses. Take less range pots and more absorbs. Run some hard rounds for the extra points. All that can be done tbh

@@bzuulu Well with the absorb pot strat, normal vs hard doesn't make a difference if you're only trying to train up skills. You get more points from hard but they do take longer to kill

I've been doing this strat as well as overload + super restore/prayer pot strat for a while now. The latter of the two is costly but you can rack up a lot of NMZ points if you need them. Then you can do the absorption pot strat with whatever skill boost pot you need. This will allow you to ultimately afk for 5, 10, or even 20 minutes without wasting too many absorbs

Just every now and then you'll have to eat the rock cake or use the DS2 item to get low HP again of course. As long as you're in the corner, only 1 or 2 bosses will be attacking you. I can last a good 2.5-3 hours with 25 absorption pots (100 doses). Important for the absorption strat: don't use overloads. Yes, they don't cost gold, but they restore your HP after they wear off. The only way to successfully use them is to reapply them immediately so set a timer. Otherwise when they wear off, your absorb stacks will fall off quick

Spellsey // EvanAndrewH I’ve been looking into this as well. I think it’s ideal to use fire bolt with the Smoke battlestaff, Occult and Chaos gauntless (you’ll hit 18 max). I also wrote the hit chance formula in java code. Basicly what I found is that as long as your magic attack bonus is above -10 your chance to not splash will be above 90% (higher depending on magic level). What that means is that you can prioritize defense (crush) bonus, so the ideal gear for a 42 def pure is probably something like this: Fire cape/mage arena 2 cape Occult neck Smoke battlestaff Rune chainbody Berserker ring(i) (yes I’m serious) Slayer helmet(i) Samurai legs Rune kiteshield Samurai boots

These offensive calcs assume 75 magic, 1 magic level from the monsters (ignoring the -10 mage def bonus from the Kendal) and factor in the Smoke battlestaff 10% accuracy boost. The defensive calcs assume 42 defense and 30 attack from the monsters (ignoring the Kendals 60 atk). I use the same setup but with imbued archers, anguish, steel darts, and book of law. The steel darts are basically free and if I really wanted to I could sell back the archers and anguish. If you're going to stay here for a long time and you can afford it, 100% pick up an anguish and assembler and elite void to max out your damage potential.

Awesome.. just got 99 strength doing this and now getting my range up (85 rn). I’ve found that range for my defence level (75) is better with d’hide as with void I have to use twice as many absorptions which reduces my time to around3 hours max even with 1hp drop downs, but I can make the full 6 with d’hide and that’s without rock cake 👌
