I'm honestly kind of disappointed that Spencer is embracing the upcoming world cup so much. I've always seen him as a political aware guy and hoped that he would at least mention the obvious absurdities this world cup in qatar is causing in regards of human rights and climate change. Maybe I just missed a statement of him on social media or something and I will continue watching non world cup related videos by him in the future, but it still makes me a bit sad :(

Bizarre that people exert even a single bit of energy and time on hating on the guys. Firstly, they were invited, they didn’t request a trial. Secondly, they’re just living their lives and taking a good opportunity that anyone would take.

The local fans' stance is more to do with the fact that we didn't want this to negatively impact any important game, especially the FA Cup. There's a lot of fragmentation within our fanbase, I'm more on the side of this being an absolute positive right up to the training and that would be my personal limit. Seeing an entertainer that I've watched for near on a decade now, was quite surreal and I fully back what WAGMI were trying to do, so long as they realise where the line is. It was a great PR exercise that got us trending, got us exposure and still continuing to do so with videos like this. The media buzz around this has been immense, Tobi's been incredibly respectful of the club's, fans' and players' wishes. I think people also need to keep an open mind about the change and evolution around football nowadays, it's important as the EFL's getting better and better and we need to adapt or we die. Stuff like this serves as a true example of where we're heading, and the opinion is still divided on that front. [EDIT]: The language was 100% intentional because the goal was to create media attention, I think the problem lies with WAGMI haven't done enough to win the fans over to be pulling off PR stunts like these, which I completely understand. I've spoken with almost all the owners so far on a 1to1 basis, I trust their vision and back them. Tongue in cheek, sure, but it did the job it was intended to do.

All they’ve done since coming in is take the football club backwards, with the mishandling of the yems situation and then the terrible coach they brought in to replace him. Betsy was then sacked too late and here we are now with a caretaker. A mid table side with lots of money pumped into it has only got worse. They should be focusing on the football side of things

As a Crawley I can see why they're doing it, and I'm a fan of the PR and training videos, but I wouldn't want to see them in the squad if they're not good enough. Gotta focus of maintaing our league status. I think it's a weird move for us in all honesty.

As a Crawley fan, had they simply explained it was a way to boost PR with nothing to do with getting someone into the squad, we wouldn’t care. The reason there was uproar towards the ownership is that this is the latest stunt after a long list to embarrass the club further. Just because they own the club, it doesn’t mean they know how to run a football club.

Crawley are in a bit of a "chicken and the egg" situation. A typical professional club wouldnt sing about scouting youtube games and youtube celebrities. But there is no issue doing it and signing them on if they are good enough. They just want to generate hype for the sake of it. They could have easily scouted and had these guys on trial (particuarly the youngest) without any media hype or fuss. But if they are wanting to be "the internet's club" v2.0 I suppose you need to do things differently. So if they want to generate hype over triallists and scouting youtube celebrities then all power to them...

When lewis says "the people know whats best for the club" on what planet is that true? No crawley fan would want it, they got the manager appointment wrong and had to sack him within 10 games.
