"We stand here today, because of those who paved the way before us" I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to those who took the time to produce this videography for us; the family and future generations of Spencer Lewis Gordon. It brought great joy to my father to remember and identify his cultural passage, whilst he watched the historical account of his fathers life. Undoubtedly, he has memories of his own to add. I am Joanna Lyn, the only child of Simon Septimus Gordon (son of Spencer and Pandora Peters nee Crompton). Father on completion of his education in Grenada following his Island scholarship, arrived in England in 1952 to seek the so called streets, that were paved with gold. Now aged 88, in great form, he is as far as I am aware, the eldest living son of Spencer. My father claims to be the seventh son of a seventh son, though my efforts to research and evidence this has yet not been successful. I have also tried to trace our African origins, a DNA Test by Dr. foster of Cambridge University, revealed fathers origins to be Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Guinea Bissau, best match pointing to Aja Nigeria. I would be interested to hear if any Gordon's had similar results. My father, as his father before him, became a very successful and respected businessman here in the UK. Community is important to him, over the years he has received commendations and awards for his voluntary work, support and contribution to community, including Rotary's most prestigious " Paul Harris" Service Above Self Award. Land in Paradise has been retained by the family, the legacy continues; Simon has two grand daughters - Marie Louise & Carlie Joanne, five Great granddaughter's - Courtney, Charlie-Jo, Calease, Jasmin & Amber (twins) and one Great Grandson Louis!

Hi Joanna, thanks for your information and feedback. This is great information you provided regarding the DNA test and the revelations of Spencer's African origins; this is good foundational info to have and I think other family members will find it valuable. Good info also on Simon's family. Thank you. Roy

Hi Roy I have a few photos taken in 1950's of family members. Can these be added or where would be the best place Up load them?

Hi Jo, if you have a site where you can load the pictures then I would suggest uploading them to the site and then copying the link to the site and pasting the link within the comment section of this video. Viewers who read your comment can click on the link to view the pictures. If you do not have a site, or are unable to create one, you can send the pictures to me and I will try to upload them as a comment within the videography. You can forward the pictures to me at scratch@myacc.net.

Interesting. What a large family he created! It's as if he took some pages out of history and replicate it to the core. I have Grenadian roots and this is enlightening as to some of my family.
