DA didn't make Rattler the #2 for the 1st 5 games because he practiced against the 1st Team Defense, as the 3rd QB, which was great for his progression. Just playing free against the #1 Defense. Games played (Carolina, Dallas, Philly, Atl, and Chiefs). He was the mock QB for those away teams.

I think Rattler is a better fit for this system. Simple. He can rollout and make plays. He has strong instincts with a strong arm.

In this system, Carr had 5 touchdowns in 2 games, and our offense had the 4th highest point total in NFL history. If Rattler can top that, extend his contract now!

If Carr couldn’t play behind this oline, it will be impossible for a rookie. Da is going with the guy that has a tiny bit better mobility. This tells us that DA is expecting another sieve of an oline. Obviously I want to be wrong. But this is a PR move more than anything. So with that said, Rattler, it’s his time to show that he should’ve been a first round pick. He does have better wheels and an ability to improvise, which Haener does not have as much.
