And to think, he doesn’t have to coach up Carr. Carr is already better than any QB he has ever coached, including Purdy. Carr has tremendous arm talent with a strong arm and a quick release and can make any NFL throw with accuracy and velocity. He is also a good roll out passer. He also has a higher completion percentage than Brees had with 3 step back passes. And if you look at his highlight film, in about half of his big plays he is on the move throwing the ball. He can do it all. Kubiak is pinching himself to make sure this is real. All he has to do is see that the offensive line is decent and he has a proven 60 year old OL coach now to do just that. Kubiak hasn’t slept in 3 months because he is so excited creating an offense for Carr to flourish in.

Rattler doesn't have better arm talent then Carr. Carr would have been the consensus #1 QB in the 2014 NFL draft if not for his brother failing with the Texans. That's literally the only reason. Not only can he make every throw with every velocity, but he also has a cannon. I know many Saints fans wrote Carr off last season when he was new to the offense and hurt, then completely ignored what he did over the last 6 weeks of the season.....and are now ecstatic Saints took a backup QB in the 5th round. But truth is Carr is a franchise QB who has been stuck on bad teams his entire career (which some Saints fans actually believe is his fault, not the perennial bottom 3 defense on his team. Apparently they didn't learn anything when Saints were going 7-9 with Brees all those seasons). Just like last season when Saints couldn't run the ball to save their lives. They NEEDED Carr to carry them b4 he even knew the system. That's why the Offense looked so rough the 1st half of the season. Once Carr got the system down tho, the offense took right TF off.....bc he's an awesome QB. It's not even like he had superstar weapons or a great OL either. He still played at an elite level. That's a fact. Hopefully it doesn't take long to install Kubiaks system, bc by the looks of it Carr will have to carry the offense yet again. It's just funny that so many fans think Carr needs replaced, when he's going to ball out and carry the offense yet again.

Yep. It’s amazing how silly some of these fans are. “Rattler has a strong arm and a quick release.” Well duh? Have you not watched the NFL for the last 10 years? Carr has a stronger arm and a quicker release. He is also 3 inches taller than Rattler and he is faster. He is also a proven veteran QB. All Rattler is is an insurance policy in case Carr gets hurt in the future. But if Carr does what is expected, and Rattler shows promise in preseason games, Rattler could be traded for a higher pick like Alex Smith years ago, and the Saints could draft their next back up QB.

SF tried to trade for the sure thing in Carr in 2021 and they got stuck with Trey Lance as their 3rd overall pick. How many first round busts shiny new toys have there been? The Jets and the Bears alone have been failing in shiny new toys for over 20 years. In fact, have the Bears ever had a QB as good as Carr? And the Jets have been trying to replace Joe Namath for 50 years. Believe me, some silly Saints fans might not realize what they have, but the Saints organization, the NFL, the Mannings, Drew Brees and Kubiak know what they have in Carr.

@jessegardner1344 ай бұрын
Every QB throws picks. Every QB has games where they throw 0-1 TD's. No QB even comes close to having perfect seasons. Successful QB's are on good teams that win even when they aren't playing at an elite level. Unfortunately Saints had arguably the worst run game in the NFL last season, and the offense didn't really find it's stride until Carr started carrying it. If you check all the L's, the common denominator in all of them was that the run game was terrible. Carr is the only reason they weren't a bottom 5 offense.
@thesoundbar3754 ай бұрын
@@jessegardner134 Agreed. Not a knock on carr at all, just highlighting how I believe the changes made in offseason, whether , specifically at OC will make a world of a difference. And if 7/8 games were lost by single digits then a boost in run support / kubiak system will most certainly make Saints a 12-win team (wishfully), even if the strength of schedule has increased
