ok i love reid because he’s legit so unique and funny bro idk why people can be reid antis 😭😭 anyways i love analyzing cinema/movies/shows bc it’s just so interesting how much work goes into it. the way that the actors indulge their characters and almost form a kind of relationship with their character because they know everything about them and they have to feel their emotions to do a good job when they act. i like to see when the sitcom or show starts declining, not in a hateful way like “oh this show sucks now” but it’s just interesting that the storylines get lost and the characters decline sometimes. not talking about any specific show or anything, though. also the cinematography like the ways that the camera pans to different angles in certain scenes to convey a certain feeling or vibe is very interesting!

For example, at 12:36 Reid talks about how the air travels faster over the top of the wing than the bottom to create lift. That is a very common explanation for how wings create lift that you can find all over the place, online and in textbooks and similar. But it's also slightly wrong. It's more accurate to think of the bottom of the wing striking a huge volume of air as it passes rapidly through the sky, and that vast amount of wind striking the underside of the wing causing the airplane to be pressed upward. In general, though, what parts of Reid's infodumps I've been able to fact-check have been very reliably accurate. Errors like this are pretty rare and minor.

When Reid was going off on his tangent to the killer about his past. He was stalling for time, and Hotcher knew it, he was ready to throw down if the guy did anything or Reid slipped up. But Reid managed to, under extreme stress, pull off one of the coolest stalls I'd ever seen.

@@Iarnród_Eireto give even more clarification, the killer was an incredibly skilled sadist, and he happened to not be chained up at all in this instance (I can’t remember why). During their meeting there was a guard change which caused a twenty minute gap where Reid and Hotch were trapped with the killer who, by his nature, fully was going to kill them. He was never getting out of prison anyway and he hadn’t killed in years (maybe not years, but certainly not since being put in the max security prison). The reason they couldn’t get out is because, due to the security level of the prison and the danger levels of the prisoners, the door is controlled by a switch outside the room and cannot be opened from the inside. Even if it could though, with no guards around, they’d have had an incredibly dangerous serial killer just loose in the hallway, so that wouldn’t be good either.

dude okay so my thing is space and it is so cool but no one irl likes to listen to me talk about it andits so confusing to me like ????? its SPACE !! ive been learning about black holes lately and they are so fucking awesome and so confusing bc im not smart enough to understand when astronomers start throwing numbers n shit in there but oh my goddddd like???? they have this thing called soft hair which astronomers can use to make pretty well educated guesses on what's fallen into a black hole and also !!! they emit something called hawking radiation which are random particles and photons coming OUT of the black hole and they can have nothing to do with what the soft hair says might have fallen in that is fuckin MIND BLOWING to me like ???? WHERE DOES IT COME FROM.. also theoretically there are things called white holes which are regions of spacetime where nothing can enter but energy and matter can exit making them basically reverse black holes!! none have been discovered yet so no one knows if they're real but i think they are.. ALSO when two black holes collide they send massive ripples through the fabric of time and space and we know this because the shockwave of 2 black holes colliding 1.2 billion years ago hit us in 2015!!! in the last 1/10th of a second before they collided these 2 black holes generated more energy than every star in the universe combined and then sent it out in a cosmic tsunami that is SO cool edit:: actually im gonna explain why i think white holes are real really quick basically the principle of the conservation of energy says that the energy in an isolated system remains constant and an isolated system is basically something who's energy isnt affected by outside influence and the universe is an isolated system so say a black hole consumed a star. where does the ENERGY from that go because it cant just disappear right? i think that white holes and black holes connect in an einsten-rosen bridge (theoretical wormhole between two points in space/time) because if the energy CANT just disappear from the universe then wouldnt it make sense that it exits from a white hole billions of lightyears away?? and if that's ever proven to be not true then thats still fucking awesome because then the laws of physics literally dont apply to black holes

@@richieordeanidc536 um, THAT IS SUPER COOL. Space is seriously so dope I don’t know why people wouldn’t want to talk to you about it. I had never heard of the possibility of white holes but that’s really interesting! I agree with what you said about them being connected to black holes, and I agree that if it’s proven wrong it’s still really cool BECAUSE BLACK HOLES IGNORE THE LAWS OF PHYSICS. THATS SO CRAZY BUT SO FUCKING COOL! Thank you for sharing about space, please feel free to share more! It’s super interesting and there’s so much I don’t know about it!

12:30 This is a backwards view of how vacuums work. Vacuum's don't "suck" there's technically no such thing. The wing is being BOTH pushed down by air, pushed up by air, and falling downwards towards the center of Earth's gravitational well at 9.8 m/s/s. It's being pushed on by all sides. A "suck" is simply one of these pushes being stronger than the other. So a vacuum "suck" is actually just your vacuum creating a low pressure area inside the vacuum, and using the natural air pressure -- and often a hose to direct airflow -- to push air and objects into the low pressure area. So because the pressure under the wing is so much greater than that above the wing. The air underneath the wing pushes the wing upward into the lower pressure area above as it [the air] itself is pushed by the other air molecules around it toward the low pressure area. All of this only creates lift because the pressure from air pushing up on the wing is stronger than the sum of the pressure of the air pushing down on, and gravity pulling down on the wing. So your vacuum actually doesn't "suck," It creates a space that naturally want's to be filled.

It's hard to tell if the writer didn't know how to pronounce "Samhain" or they realized that if they had him pronounce it correctly no one outside of Ireland or Scotland would know what the hell he was talking about.

I genuinely think out of all of the members of the BAU, Emily was the one that was most often fascinated with Reids wealth of knowledge, like the little tidbit about peas, she was surprised by it and it was encouraging him, hence hotch had to beg them to stop talking about peas 😂

I would genuinely and excitedly watch a (at least) 15 season, 24 episode per season, 1 hour per episode show of just Dr. Spencer Reid infodumping in scenarios where they fit without being cut off😅 A lot of the time his infodumps are a lot more interesting to me than the actual murder they’re trying to solve😂

Watching this helps me to feel not so alone when I tend to infodump on random topics. Seeing some traits I can relate to within Reid is very comforting. I’m actually going to get assessed for ASD this year and seeing both Garcia and Reid who I can relate to has made me feel that I’m not the only one. 😊

So he has ADHD with a, bit of ASD, lovely, I love rambling. It’s so fun, also why would you decline coffee, more caffeine is always better, I have a vacation during probably interesting, so special interest. I’m at the people often have a hard time telling the difference between the two, which I don’t really understand why, it’s incredibly easy to tell the difference, although that might just be because I am somebody with ADHD and ASD.

I hate that they were almost always so mean about it. Like I understand when they’re on the clock during a case, that there’s a time crunch, but come on. The guy has an eidetic memory and undiagnosed ADHD and/or Asperger’s (even if they don’t say it’s cannon in the show, but they made a couple jokes/references and he also just screams it) at least APOLOGIZE when interrupting him, because there are lives on the line and his disorders sidetrack him. And then there’s JJ! This woman is supposed to be his best friend, who has apparently been in love with him for X amount of years. And yet she looked so freaking annoyed when he rambled about something he was passionate about. She doesn’t deserve him. If she can’t accept him and his ramblings and his special interests, she ain’t good enough.
