As someone who rode in the 80s, getting back into it in 2020 was overwhelmingly different. Never even heard of a free coaster up until 2020, but once I tried it, I can never go back to something else. Love it!!

Before they became popular as they are today, you only saw freecoasters on flatland bikes...that was the mid 90s...some even ealier.

i got a freecoaster in 2014 cause i broke 3 cassette hubs in a row and every one when they break cause me to smash my knee on the stem so i got a freecoaster and after the learning curve of smashing my knee on the stem some more its amazing and will last ages longer than a cassette if you regrease it every year or so

I rode in the 80's, 90's, early 2000s. Quit at 30, came back at 39. 49 now and a free coaster is what I've been using for 10 yrs now til I retire permanently.

I bought a Fiend Reynolds V2 recently. A lot of my reasoning in buying it was because of your praise for it. Since then, I have learned that it might not suit my style of riding. I like to do big aerials and ride large jumps, and because of the steep head tube angle, it feels a bit wobbly at high speeds. I plan to add brakes and other modifications, so maybe that will improve it. It’s definitely a cool bike, though. I’m still super stoked with it. And to be honest, I haven’t really put it to the test properly yet. Big fan of your videos, Spencer. When are we going to get another Céline Dion edit!? Lol
